Tried it. Texture was velvety but it dried out a bit. Maybe because of over mixing or because of extra amount of flour .

I've watched several videos of people claiming to make pound cakes, I've watch my Mom, and my Grandmother, along with my Aunts make POUND cakes, they always, and I mean always used, guess what, a "POUND" of butter, thus the name Pound Cake. I'll stick to their recipes, and not the 1/2 pound cakes you and everyone else claim to be a pound cake. Happy Baking.
