if they used store bought chocolate chips (nestle and that sort) it will work because that sort of chocolate is designed to turn back solid after baking. chocolate bars and commercial chocolate blocks or blobs have to be tempered in order to re-solidify.

Linda Burnage please read my comment above. This video is deceiving. If you’re going to try these don’t use pure chocolate. Use candy melts or some other candy grade chocolate. It will work if it has another fat like vegetable oil in the ingredients. Once you melt the cocoa butter it won’t just set up all nice and pretty again.

Eva Layton I have done that stuff for years. I just use chocolate chips. the important thing is make sure you get no moisture in it. I don’t like nuking ( the microwave and I have a love/ hate relationship) my chocolate, so I melt mine in a heat proof glass dish resting in a pot of boiling water. ( once the boils I drop the temp, just enough to keep it melted).

It is very deceiving. I don’t care how you melt chocolate, if you don’t temper it, it will not look good. And it will likely bloom on you. Likely these people used candy melt chocolate where the cocoa butter was replaced with vegetable oil. It still has the chocolate liquor but doesn’t need to be tempered. Spoken from someone who has done a ton of chocolate work professionally and tempered chocolate daily.

If it wasn't made in accordance with FDA regulations then you have no idea how toxic it might be. Even things as ordinary as copper has lead because of the machines that cut it. Don't mix non-food items with food. The companies making that stuff don't care what happens to people who accidentally eat it.

@@emilranfors4540 It is made extremely cheaply by the lowest bidder in huge amounts, there is not much control for impurities such as harmful solvents, manufacturing residues, machine grease, mercury residue from the next factory over etc. Look for food grade bubble wrap. Although it is impossible to make plastic 100% safe due to the necessity of pthalates in production, it's probably at least better than the bubble wrap that came with your made in china cookie jar.

Trypophobia can be scary if you're not expecting it. Like when an image just pops out from nowhere. As for the chocolate being poured onto the bubble wrap, that should be enough of a warning of what's to come from doing that for those who have that fear which gives them time to back out. There's also the description to read first for those really bad cases.

You can use latex free balloons and should not have a problem.

@G Money : I don't know what that is! But I have a severe lanolin allergy as well, so no sheep. Been hospitalized 😞 I'm not allergic to chocolate though, so at least there's that. I live for chocolate.

Except that there *is* such a thing as white chocolate. In fact; there are regulations in both the U.S. and the European Union as to what can be marketed as white chocolate. Furthermore; it is made from cocoa. It simply lacks the solids from cocoa that give milk & dark chocolate it's distinctive flavor. And finally; buttercream and white chocolate are *not* the same thing.
