Good point regarding the con really being a pro. After the nail is cut, it is extremely smooth. No scratchies or anything like that. I don't feel that I need to file afterwards. I haven't used the file as regular as the clipper itself, but I will keep an eye on it to see if the inside wears out eventually and will keep you posted.

Would you prefer me to make Run & Gun videos or Hot Sauce Reviews? :) None of my videos are more important and pressing than what is going on in the world. They are simply an escape from it. I enjoy trying to make an eclectic mix of video topics. I recently made an updated Altoids Survival Tin video and wanted to do a few product reviews based on some of the items. I've tried to do the same thing with my BOB, EDC, etc. I am hoping that my "sizeable viewer base" enjoys the variety and randomness.

I have the True Utility SlimClips, and they work great for me. I have them on my keys, and haven't had a problem out of them. I've had them since around July/August. I paid $8.62 for them on Amazon.

Yes it does! I had footage of me testing it on my big toe, but it didn't make the final cut of this video. I'll add an annotation to let others know that it slices through the big toe nail like butter.

I tried to do an overlay with the toenail demo but I figured that was a segment that would probably be best to be omitted. I had a feeling that I was pushing it with a 15 minute fingernail clippers video. The MMM50 10 minutes or less was correct yet again. Still batting 1.000 :)

Hi TheUrbanPrepper, So 6 month later, do you still use this nailclipper every week? Seems to me, it's hard to get into the nail to clip them, so maybe there are better and practical clippers?

i been waiting for someone to do a video about these for ages, ima watch the rest of the video, im so happy! :D you said a con was that its small so you have to cut in multiple cuts, thats actually how you are supposed to cut your nails, it helps keep them even i hear. How is the nail, after being cut, is it sharp and scratchie? does the file on the inside wear off, i have a cheapo metal file and all the sand came off.

kool thx :D yea i recently got into nail care, its quite important, even in all the prepper survival stuff we do too. Health and Hygiene are 2 extremely important things that preppers need to start thinking about, keep those 2 things under control and u wont have the many problems we suffer from today such as sickness and infection respectively. in the army they teach you your feet are the most important thing, well hands are also super important, you do everything with them, take care of them

Love em. But I'll wait until they show up on Amazon; By then, I'll bet you they will be about 15 bucks- still a bit too high, but they are nice. I wouldn't worry about the spring action- it's likely a well made spring and will not develop a "set." The leather, being stiff, is fine. Over time it will loosen a bit. I'd prefer a very snug fit while new. Yeah I wish it had some sort of hole to attach to a key chain.. but something like this will lilely be in my shave/shower kit anyway.

Did you know that 2 weeks ago, some guy posted a video - get this - of a BOTTLE OPENER COLLECTION. Can you think of anything more boring? I can't. But you know what? He also said a very smart thing: "If you don't want to see it, then don't stick around." And he was right. Pretty wise advice, don't you think?

I saw this informative review awhile back but could not bring myself to pay the price. I noticed that there are now some True Utility clippers for a lot less and that you have a pair. Is their performance reasonably close to that of the Zwilling Pour Homme?
@TheUrbanPrepper10 жыл бұрын
snowpuppy77 I agree. The price is hard to swallow. The True Utility clippers are good and very similar in size. They also have a loop to attach to a keychain, which is nice. The Pour Homme are excellent and I don’t feel there are better clippers in this form factor on the market. You might want to look at the Victorinox clippers. They too are nice, but slightly thicker than the True Utility. For Altoids Kits I would go with the True Utility over the Victorinox just due to the thin size; than is if you don’t want to spring for the Zwilling clippers.

When it comes to nail clippers, nothing beats the Sureclip in my opinion. To me that's the Lamborghini of nail clippers with its soft touch grip, built in clipping collector, magnifying glass and flashlight to clip in darker areas. However, it's also significantly larger and more suited to a hygiene travel bag. As for these clippers, would you say they're small enough to fit in a wallet without creating too much bulk? How thick are they when compared to a key? Also, do you know where these are made?

I'm planning on it. :) Honestly, I find it hypocritical that it is perfectly fine to do product reviews on knives, multi-tools, AR-15 magazines, flashlights, solar panels, bullets, tactical pants and more; but the moment you make a review of an EDC item that is not considered "cool" enough, people freak out. All of these preps are simply "tools" and shouldn't be biased. While this video may be insignificant many experienced preppers, it may be beneficial to new viewers.
@SinderSetawa11 жыл бұрын
thanks for the review! actually was hunting for an EDC nail clipper and am comparing the Victorinox vs the Pour Homme. ultimately its coming down to the missing keyring hole for this one to be a nogo. might have to build it into some of my bags though.

I own a pair, and the first time I used them, I made the MAJOR mistake of letting the top part of the clipper slip to out of the forward position, and the clippers locked in the closed position attached to my thumbnail. I had to nearly tear my nail off to get the cliipers open again. My nail bed was sore for days. And it is nearly impossible to trim your cuticle with these clippers. I went back to the 99 cent clippers for a while, they aren't nearly as cool looking, but at least they are painless. LOL But I finally found two clippers that work well that are based upon the same concept of folding flat. My favorite and my new EDC, is listed on Amazon under the name Bluecell Professional Stainless Steel Slim Fingernail Clipprs (another Amazon listing for basically the same product from another company - Super Slim Stainless Steel Fingernail Clippers - Pack of 2) and my second favorite if the Swiss Army Victorinox Nail Clippers.

I should proberbly get a good nail clipper too, I use it all the time for karate, where nails off course has to be short to not accedently hurt your training-partners or opponents. This one seems quit nice, and fair in price for the quality. I would personally prefer for it to sit in my keychain, since again, I use it quit mutch. It's good for cutting strings and thread too, for a travel sewing kit to, btw. About the nail cleaner thingy, I don't like to use metal ones anyway, since, if they are not very soft in the edges, they can scratch the surface under the nail, thus give dirt a better place to hang on to. A wood tooth pick can do the same job, but I just tend to do it using the nails of the other hand. Nice review :)

Obviously you can't help but focus on what I said in the past. I wish I could say 'sorry', but the fact of the matter is we're all different here on KZbin. I will be who I want to be and I will let you be who you want to be. Also, being that you called my video "boring" I expected to see something better from you, but it seems you're too lazy to whip out a camera and make your own videos. Keep your negativity to yourself. Have you noticed that you're the one who always sparks these debates?

Skippy, I saw about a minute of it before I got bored, took your advice, and left. You, of course, are the one who hates and when gets called on it goes for the childish defense: "I know you are but what am I?" Until then you'd be wise to realize that someone who is constantly telling homophobe jokes is usually gay.
