VERY well done comparison and spot-on. My dad will not use any nail clipper other than the Green Bell Seki. He discovered them about ten years ago when a cousin covered a news story in Japan for a tv network when a nuclear reactor exploded. My cousin purchased one at the hotel and then purchased ten more before returning to the US to give to friends and relatives. My dad orders them now and keeps three or four boxed on hand to give as gifts. A bit more expensive than the others but worth every cent. A true affordable luxury. Other excellent Japanese clippers are Concord and Kiya but they are less known. Very sharp. They make a small version women seem to really like. Thank you for a great comparison.

This has such good production value. Shame not many people think about the type of nail clippers they should buy enough. It was fun to watch and I agree that you should invest in the things you use daily.

My dad bought a seki in 2012. I bought one in 2013. My mom bought one in 2017. Never EVER let someone borrow your seki. Guard it with your life. You CAN buy happiness people!

I just fell down the rabbit hole of finding a better nail clipper. This video was really well done. Just ordered the seki. I mean who doesn’t want a nail clipper made by samurai sword makers?

The dollar store nail clippers are made of pop metal, some sort of zinc alloy. They will break when you want to cut a thicker nail. Happened to me twice in the past few years. Spend that little extra on a Japanese Seki. You only need to invest into a pair of nail clippers once in your life if you pick well. You could even get the bigger toenail clippers, they are even sturdier. And as you age you will likely develop arthritis and toenail clippers are easier to hold.

This was an interesting video. I have some old toenail clippers that are curved opposite the normal fingernail clippers and they work well for toenails because they clip off less at a time and it takes less effort to do so. (I also like using them for fingernails.) So this video sent me down the rabbit hole of looking at different brands on amazon that have straight toenail clippers, thinking that a good brand of straight clipper would be better than my cheap convex clippers.

Thanks a ton for making this video.... my nails grow up in a week and start hurting. I have to type as part of my job and i play fighting games. If I do this with long nails then it hurts and irritates a lot. You just helped me in finding the right nail clipper. Take care .....

Yasss! Thank you for making these! I love how well-thought-out your reviews are, but NGL, the strong fellow-alphabet-mafia vibes I'm getting def add cred to your words on this product 😅 So, I'm subbed and looking forward to more!

Getting black dust all over the place? Exactly how much paint do you think is on that clipper? Ridiculous.

Yes, it's worth it to buy expensive ones because the cheap ones are shit and you buy new ones again and again which adds up over years. Buy quality once and never buy again.

The longer you need to press, the less force you need to cut the nail. That is physics.
