Hey ! In Nature nothing is 'PERFECT'....There are trees that grow 'their' way, mountains are all different, lakes are their own shapes and so on. Could you picture everyone looking 'alike'? How boreing would that be? A painter once said to don't be afraid to make happy mistakes. Do YOUR project YOUR WAY....listen & learn from the pros here , then ....just GO 4 IT !!! ...YOU'LL BE FINE....BE THE 'ARTIST' , LET IT SHINE.... GO FOR IT !🤘👻💖 I took a small smart TV that someone threw out and I painted an ocean, beach, beach house, paint/tree life with a full moon shineing down. The TV part as a TV doesn't work but plugged in the screen lights up, or don't plug it in, it still works and it was fun to experiment on & do. So be creative and go with the flow.

I'd do it without the 'veins'. Without the 'veins' it looks like a better peice of 'Marable', looks cleaner, less distracting. Sometimes less is more. Adding 'veins' to make it look more realistic is fine ....I just wouldn't go overboard.

To vein or not to vein, great question Mike, my husband (the artist of our countertop redu duo), and I, are exactly in that dilemma ourselves soooooooo we’ve been practicing on things like windowsills before we do the countertops to the lower level kitchen and opposite side of house, the hobby center, with a bonus desk area. I loved before the veins, and I liked after the veins. I’m still on the fence about the big vein, at first I didn’t like it at all, but after life played out with it, I saw the coolness and I very much enjoyed looking at different spots in the big vein that appeals to my eye. Our journey in doing stone coat countertops ...is researching nature, and these rocks when they get big enough to get slabs for countertops, I see veins, there’s nothing I’ve seen except for color choices, that we can come up with, that nature doesn’t do. I love the before, I like the veins, my husband LUUUUHVZ the veins, he’s been playing more lately with the veins. I would be thrilled to have both in my home (YOUR killing us, in a good way, as our daughter wants this style for her home) Fan of stone coat countertops since 2017

I'm getting ready to redo my kitchen in black marble and can't find a single video that addresses even close to what I want. Every black marble I find is too 'busy'. I am looking to do a very subtle pattern that looks as realistic as possible. Would love to see more videos of different black marble effects ~ using spray paint to 'mist', dirty pour, very subtle veining, etc. The easier the better, of course. I'll be 73 in 2 weeks, so I'm not looking to put in any more work than is necessary. Love your videos. Keep 'em coming!

You guys are killing it! I cannot wait to get to the countertop phase of our kitchen redo. Let me throw some collective questions at you, from this video and all the others I have been studying. 1. Do you Redgard under all your substrate or just the ones near the wet areas? 2. I really like the high gloss, wet looking finish. Does that polish easy in the event of scratches? 3. For an undermount sink, would it be a bad idea to countersink some screws in from the top for mounting, then bondo/resin over the top of them? Or just screw them in from the bottom? Thanks, keep up the inspiring work.

I prefer option A with some of option B but less crosshatching. I would have loved to see more of that dark color that followed the more subtle veining that was already there, accenting the veining that was created with the subtle greys like one or 2 lines following it, then a few off shots. Whoever both look amazing and I would be happy as a customer with either lol Its more of a hindsight kinda thing, you don't know which one you'll like more until its done and you go, I liked it without more but the end product is still beautiful. So its a win for me with either but if I had to choose lol Id choose A
