It's not suitable to withstand vehicle traffic. It lasts 2 years, but can be topped up quite easily and won't need to use as much as the initial project.

Hello, 20mm is the upper limit in terms of stone size but it would work yes.

I tried the spray-on method, but it just blocked the sprayer within minutes. I had to resort to the watering can method, but this seemed to deliver too much resin and in a haphazard fashion even though I was careful - missing a little bit of the stones in places, as I was wary of applying too much. I was disappointed. and wished I had gone for the resin-bound method (mixing in a bucket with a paddle), and I will do this next time. In all honesty, I don't think Vuba should even be suggesting sprays or watering cans. Oh, and make sure you mask everything (as I did) if you're brave enough to use a sprayer or watering can. And wear gloves. I took mine off temporarily to try and unblock the sprayer, and got the stuff on one hand. It was annoying as it (obviously) is like superglue. On a separate note, the choice of stones is extremely disappointing. I used Azulado, which looked fantastic when it was all finished. But there's only eight stones available, and some of them are almost identical! Vuba really let themselves down here in a huge way. There should be blues and greens. I would like to see crushed glass. Yes, I know I could buy them separately, but I would prefer buying everything from Vuba, so I know it's cleaned and compatible. In future, I will have to source my own stones, so Vuba are missing potential sales. I think it's a great product which provides a rather stunning look (everyone has commented on this small 4-square metre area I created), but it can really have only one application and as I said, it is let down by choice of stones.

This method would be perfect when repairing deep washed spots in freshly poured concrete... its most definitely worth a try vs breaking out a bad section...I probably would use the same rocks from the company that sent me my concrete tho.

The aggregate / stone finish still maintains. Easihold creates a thin protective coating over the stones.

@@jptully6810 Easihold isn't a surface finish, so it's not a question of if Easihold is slip resistant or not. It creates a thin protective coating over the stones. Whether or not the surface is slip resistant or not will be dependent upon the stones - which will vary in almost every application.

20mm chips yes, to an extent, but efficacy is reduced. On a driveway...no unfortunately. Cannot withstand vehicle traffic. Would need one of our resin bound systems.

Hello, you cannot drive on stones treated with Easihold. It wouldn't be strong enough. We have resin bound kits which can be used to create a fixed stone surface for driving on.

No the mud and leaves will work down into set gravel and never be for rid of, then weeds will grow from inside. At least with loose gravel or can be cleaned or dug over

Hi Isaac, unfortunately on a driveway it wouldn't work. But maybe gravel grids would be a good solution for you. Relatively inexpensive, easy to install and stops the stones from sliding. They are on our website called VubaGrid Cellular Grids. Hope that helps!

The product in this video is solvent based, but since August 2019 we developed a new formula. Easihold is now non-toxic and non-harmful. It's a water based formula, which we have tested extensively.

Yes, providing that you haven't used too much resin and created a block. It's not like porous concrete made with gravel and cement (I successfully trialled that for a large step), but will still let rain through. If you're going to use the bound method (I would strongly recommend that, see my comment above) then a mix of 2 litres of resin to one 25kg bag of stones is the recommended mix by Vuba. I haven't tried that, yet (and it would seem to me to be too much resin) but that's what they told me to use, and they should know.

We would recommend using a permeable membrane underneath stones for weed protection - to allow through rainwater etc. If the membrane isn't permeable then we wouldn't recommend applying Easihold, but if it is, then it would be fine!
