Gallium doesn't react with Aluminium Oxide, which forms a solid layer on Aluminium exposed to the air. Generally you need to either scratch or chemically remove the oxide layer to get the reaction initiated.

I know I am late to the party on this, but on the topic of computer rendering something like Gallium, render engines don't trace rays (in this case reflections) infinitely. They have a maximum "bounce" limit typically between 2-6. So after, say, 3 bounces rays stop calculating. Even in nature at least some light is absorbed, some is scattered, and some is reflected. Light doesn't bounce infinitely (a process known as attenuation), and does eventually become imperceptible.

The density of gallium is about 5.1g/cc and the approximate volume of a 6ft balloon is 113 cubic feet, or 3200 liters. This *very* roughly totals up to around 6 million USD for the amount of gallium alone.

If you select 4k playback the video is not as compressed, even if you are only using a 1080p screen.
