In this trundlicious episode of Small Plots, I burst forth into the great known with another urban stealth camp... this time in the constant rain! Get your muck boots and rain trousers on, cause this is a wet one.

The piano accompaniment to the cycling sounded almost Russian in its sombre tones. This may be the last time Kevin was seen, cycling into the fading light like some kind of pre-apocalyptic Mad Max on an alloy horse. Thanks Kevin, for keeping us sane and engaged with your content.

Hi Kev! Good vid. Keep them comming! Btw. Take 2 plastic bags (not transparent). First one put in on your bike seat and the second one blow it, so it will look like a baloon and put the flashlight at the entrace and tape it. This way u will get a DIY camp lantern.

I actually had a plastic bag for the seat, but I brought it out too late after the seat was already wet haha. That's a great tip for the makeshift lantern! I'll have to try that

Been watching through your back catalogue of stealth camping videos Kevin. I'm finding your unique mix of jazz/nature/chilled out chats to be very relaxing! Cheers man! I got shingles around 2 years ago - We're around the same age. The doctor told me it was quite rare to get it at my age, and perhaps there was some kind of underlying health issues, such as undiagnosed diabeetus. Went and got a health check-up, and there seemed to be no real cause. It could have just been stress from your knee / not being able to work etc.

Hey man! I wanted to tell you something that came up in your video. The Shingles. I also had a first outbreak in my late 30’s on the underneath of my upper arm, almost into the arm pit. Yeah, I’m sure you know how much that hurts. Since, I’m 57 now, had maybe 4 smaller outbreaks in exactly the same spot. Anyway, it always accompanies a serious cold or flu. It breaks down your immune system. FYI😂

I understand the knee thing. I dislocated my Patella when I was 16, and then it was like my knee would slip out every time I would just twist it a lil. then it would fill up and swell for a few days then back to normal till next time. I had two surgeries, after that first time when I was a kid, then maby 15 years later my knee joint slipped out again and swole up with fluid. So much for my soccer career dream. Just take care of it now while you are still young and have modern care for athletic injuries.

there is privilege in being able bodied true wilderness or even just an urban glade is not a destination if you're using a wheel chair or similar i thought about this while at college recently, a very young class mate couldn't take part in a wilderness excursion, there was a path but it had wide, deep, ridged drainage channels cut thru it every 50 meters, and we had our lunch on an island, the poor kid had to sit in the bus the whole day, i praised the sun for my legs that day, and from then on started looking after them better (i have not got the best knees)

People are often too stupid to figure out how to drive past a bicycle. That happens to me all the time too and I always say out loud that they're going to get really impatient if they're going to go the same speed as I go because I am probably the slowest bicyclist I know. lol At least those cars are better than the ones looking at Facebook and driving down the bike lane. That's why I have a rear view mirror on my bike.
