Me and my friend used to go up there, start a campfire, and drink. No one ever bothered us. Police don't go there because it is the edge of the city. It's one of those spots where people can just hang out and be cool with what others are doing. Great video.

nice video ! it was a nice chat with the dog lady . duct tape works good but a small 9 volt battery and steel wool can start a fire also but you need dry tinder (starting fire with metal and electricity is pretty neat )

Oh yeah, Pinnacle Hill...great area. Loved looking across at it from the resarvoir on the lawn. I used to grow Cannabis plants in the summer on the hill....ah, good times!!

Take it from a California that, if there's a storm around and you don't get the rain part, you get the wind part as it blows the storm away. That happens all the time around here. I used to live in this place at the bottom of the San Andreas Fault where we'd regularly get 50+ mph winds. I saw it gust over 100 mph before and I don't know how much worse it got because it must have blown the wind meter out of service since that was the last recorded wind. It did that a couple of times and, one time, it was my birthday and I was in my apartment frying my ass off on acid. It blew so hard that I literally thought the wind had blown all the plants off of my patio but I didn't want to crack the blinds to look because I was pretending not to be home so I could just have a fun time tripping.

Oh you got the kind of wind that blows the rain to you. Cool. We sometimes get those winds too but they aren't as constant or as bad as the ones that blow the rain past you.

Nice vid Kevin. I use birch bark also, but my go to is a couple pieces of fatwood. You can split them down to much smaller pieces and they really get thing going. I will say that one of these days someone will happen across your set-up. Lots of stealthers out there...some may be full-timers. Be careful dude.

Good knife. You know it's nice and sharp when you barely tag yourself with it and it makes a nice, clean cut that bleeds a lot. I did that with my mom's folding saw when I went out bush crafting my ass off. I am eventually going to upload a video of it but I have been trying to finish things first. I think I'll have to upload several videos because I keep going back there and getting more ideas of stuff I'm going to build. In any case, I barely barely tagged myself with that saw and it was like getting bitten by a piranha. I have a first aid kit with me at all times so I just held some pressure, cleaned it up, and threw a bandage on it.

Great vid Kevin. I always enjoy them and your " take no prisoner" attitude towards bowing out on a stealth camp due to little things. You should try tearing up the duct tape into small strips and piling them up and then lighting them. More surfaces to catch fire. Btw...."Littering and" is from the movie Super Troopers. Hi - when I have stealth camped in the past, I've carried a little bag of dryer lint in a zip lock. That stuff likes to light super easy but you have to also keep a small bag of dry kindling because the lint doesn't like to burn for very long. Also its light and you can crush a whole bunch of it into a small space in the bag.

I use cotton balls soaked in hand sanitizer, or baby oil, or Vaseline as fire starters. I make a small batch in a ziplock bag to keep handy. Makes an excellent fire!
