How is the rust underneath the car at 375.000? Engine, diff rebuild?
@aligieri8662 Жыл бұрын
Good question. About rust, the car is in pretty good condition in my opinion. I bought it 7 years ago and after the years I did only small repairs over the rear wheels, i mean grind off the rust etc. Undermeath the car is in good shape, no much rust at all, i did treatment against the rust a few years ago so. Engine is completly stock. Ofcourse, oil were leaking everywhere after the years - it is 1993 - so i changed every gasked around the engine, changed whole cooling system, sparks, coils and now i am changing only the oil every 10k km. But i think it is just normal maintenance of the engine. I didnt touch anything deeper in the engine, so it is stock we can say. About the diff, i have stock one, so it is open 3,45 ratio. And this one is my second. My first one diff started make a noise and it was worse and worse. In the end the diff just flew apart so i had to change it. I took diff from 260k km e36 and seems working for now. I can say, everything is stock on the car, i remove only rear muffler and replace it with pipe. Thats all, thank you for your question.

the balance of an e36 allows it to actually drift with an open diff in slippery conditions. although sometimes the diff can randomly lose it's small amount of lock and send you into a curb, it looks like you have tamed the beast.

@aligieri86626 ай бұрын
Yes mate, i do. If i would drive around without license plate, i could get "driving ban" for 6 months. But if i am drifting around with license plate on, the only thing i can get, is ticket for inappropriate driving.
@Wizarrd26 ай бұрын
@@aligieri8662 how much does the ticket cost?
@aligieri86626 ай бұрын
@@Wizarrd2 I cant tell right know, it is loong time that i got one. But now it depends on the officer. If you are "good guy", they can say " hey, dont do it again" and let you go with warning. Or they can give you ticket something about 50€ i think. the charge is changing a lot in my country from years to years, so i cant tell right know, maximum should be 200€, however I never heard about anyone, who got so "big" ticket. But yeah, thats in my country and only my experiences with cops around here. I have to say, they are really "tolerant" - i dunno if this is the right word :D
@Wizarrd26 ай бұрын
@@aligieri8662 ohhh,and also last question man, do you get pulled over a lot? You should get a radar detector it's helpful, anyways good luck mate
@aligieri86626 ай бұрын
@@Wizarrd2 I think that im lucky in this, because everytime i am pulled over, it is just because of "normal control", they just checked registration, driving license and insurance and then i am free to go. I have e36 around 8 years and for 6 years i am drifting little bit on to roads. For these years i was stopped maximum 3x for drifting, everytime they told me not to do that again and let me go with warning. Antiradar is good, im thinking about that, but in my country it works only, if the police car is measuring your speed. If they are only driving around without speedcamera, antiradar stay quiet. And my drifts are really slow, so they cant give me ticket for speeding :D :D Thank you.
