I passed the assessment today and I have the final interview in 2 days, and Im watching videos all the time, bc I actually applied just to give it a try, not that I really really took it too serious, or actually thought they would choose me . Now watching your video, where I really find myself on the way of how you see stuff and think of it, Im not really concerned if I will make it there, I think I will, more than the fact, that seeing you, you have definitely much more in you. I mean, I really like your personality and your mindset , that I feel working for a company where you are only seen as a working "robot" and not valued for your personality or what you really bring for them, Im starting to think its somehow a waste of your own great you, your values and time, to work there, where those actually, may be much more valued in another job or area in your life, where you actually wont risk your health and life. Im really struggling on what to do!

Finally somebody who say it the way it is.I am FA and worked at and airport and i truly agree 100% that aviation is not for people who are not with the right mentally endurance. Thats why sooo much girls run away after less then year a hate the job to the core.This is a must video for every wannabe FA.

Ive been on an open day and and i didnt even get to drop off my cv because of an ace of spades on my wrist, an 1,5 inch white line.... The recruiter asked who has tattoos and i lifted my hand, she couldnt even see the tattoo and even asked me if i covered it, after three min of looking at my wrist she couldnt see it still and then i showed her... and she told me to leave... my tattoo isnt really visible

Hey Jaie :) Thank you for yet another informative video ! I have a question for you, I hope you don't get offended by it as it's not at all my intention, I'm genuinely interested in the why and how. I've personally attended a few OD's and there's always a fair share of Korean girls; I've befriended a few of them and they told me it is almost impossible to attend an AD in Korea as there's too many applicants and you guys have to go through an agency that does a first screening most of the time, so the easier option is to take a vacation in Europe and try a few cities that have ODs. Ok great ! What I'm confused about is the way Korean applicants behave and present themselves during the recruitment process; acting very robot-like and all cast in the same mold, if you know what I mean. I've noticed during the group assessment they all act and say the exact same thing, they nod and approve verbally of every single thing the recruiter says or does. Is this something Koreans are taught to do when showing up to the interview ? Thanks for the insight ! All the best xx
@JaieS
@JaieS 5 жыл бұрын
Well... ha... hmmm this is a long one to explain... long story short to become a cabin crew they have different academies and even university major for it. 1.They are taught to act the certain way like its an equation. korean airlines are much more strict and there are even some airlines in Asia (not Korea) that check your face with out make up, or have bikini section to see if you have any scars on your body that you were hiding. And these airlines what the most perfect person who follows the "equation" - its really the airline industry's cultural difference, and what most korean girls who prepared for local airlines are used to. 2. Their english isn't the best (even if they are good at english they get nervous and usually think there english isn't good enough) so when they get nervous and lose confidence they say the things they were recommended to say like its second nature. If you think of it in a positive light, it hows how much korean's "study" and practice to the point its second nature, to the point. Hope this helps :)

Thanks alot dear Jaie, pls can Emirates accept a married woman over the age of 33 years?... Can a lifeguard become a Cabin crew?
@JaieS
@JaieS 5 жыл бұрын
There are a lot of married men and women who join emirates as a crew, even mothers! it doesn't say anywhere that you can't. :) the great thing about being a crew is that it doesn't really matter what your previous job is as long as you learned something from it. There are all sorts of people like students fresh out of school, to nannies and doctors ect so go for it! I hope this answer helps :)
