I loved this video. You did not bad-mouth Emirates, yet were straight to the point and concise about what didn't work for you. Most international airlines have a rostering system that arbitrarily assigns trips that leave cabin crews little schedule flexibility. They have little control over days off or the routes they fly. In the US, flight attendants have a bidding system whereby monthly lines of flying are awarded by seniority. If one isn't senior enough to hold a certain schedule (line), there is unlimited opportunity to drop or trade trips with other F/A's or with un-crewed trips (known as open flying). This schedule flexibility allows flight attendants to have a life outside of their flying career, whether raising children, going back to school, or embarking on a dual career. With the ME carriers, cabin crews can be flying in any direction around the globe within their flying month, which wreaks havoc on one's circadian rhythms. I've been a US-based F/A's for 33 years. My schedule flexibility allowed me to put myself through college and today allows me to establish a routine where I fly the same days or trip every week. As such, I am able to maintain a healthy work-life balance. Cabin crews in the Middle East aren't afforded that privilege (trip trading flexibility). I also appreciate that you named it: Emotional Stress. As an international purser, more often than not, my emotional bandwidth gets taxed by other crew members who feel entitled and less so by the passengers.

I have seen alot of crew who couldn't handle the role they left and create these kinds of videos. I am too X-Staff, I believe the cabin crew job is not for everyone! It is supposed to be taken by tough players. It is not for the candidates who join airlines for travel opportunities. Please dont harm such a brand which creates huge value to global business with your small thoughts. Good luck with your future clips and I really believe you will consider my pov.
