POV MX5 NC K24 TURBO

Testing out the external mic, feel I need to move it away a little, it's really not this loud behind the car.
The section at all is just some general driving.
Gearbox is a 8HP50 controlled by TurboLamik TCU

Can you tell us about the wiring and ECU? And the mounts? I plan to use an RX8 front subframe, transmission, and RX8 k swap kit for my NC to do the swap.

Where exactly did you wound the mic? I ended up putting mine where the reg plate is to avoid road noise interference and a wind sock (furry type)

Pretty much straight above the exhaust, slightly to the right above the black plastic lower section. So as close as you could get it sensibly, but it defo needs to come away alittle more.

Wow. I have a 07 nc1 mx5 here in the us and it has a now blown 2.5 ford duratec in it. I’m looking for a swap and it is an absolute dream of mine to do a k24. Was it very difficult as in finding parts or swap kits? Like mounting, transmission, sub Frame or drive train

It's a 8HP50 out of a M140i using the TurboLamik TCU Controller. currently at 400whp.

Upshifts seem pretty good, but you gotta let us hear the downshifts. That’s what is typically frustrating with a torque convertor auto, won’t give you the shifts when you want.

Better reliability, everyone who goes to htg most times switch to turbo lamik as they either kill a few boxes or it’s just not as smooth/ dialed in.

I think it's pretty well understood the K24 is a totally superior engine to the 2.5 Duratec. The 2.5 is popular because it's a ridiculously easy and cheap direct drop-in replacement to the stock engine. There's a reason nobody puts a 2.5 Duratec into their S2000.
