I have one and I love it. Great engine, comfortable, good equipment, great economy (45 to the gallon) and great drive. Much better than the ST (Old one, can't compare new one as Peugeot yet to release new 208). I'll be trading it in soon but I'll be sad to see it go. Never put a foot wrong and I did 20K miles in the year I owned it!

@@dutchNFSGaming No, I have a 2017 GTi so everything up to the new 2018 one. I'm comparing 2013-2017. It's more comfortable, faster, better standard equipment, more economical, better insurance and in my opinion better looking. Plus everyone had an ST, they are common as muck! The ST is a better overall drive for handling, but I do a lot of miles on motorway, and on a motorway it's far to loud and firm.

I've got a 208 GTi and I love it but two points to consider which have nothing to do with performance, but you need to think about if you are thinking about the GTI. 1 the red strip on the front of the car does not match the red on the rest (Peugeot label, inside dash etc) which is annoying when you walk towards it and secondly that glorious stainless steel gear knob is bloody cold in the morning. These may seem minor issues but spend £20000+ and then try and live with them. It's a great car but it drinks juice like an alkie on meths, oh and mine has a weird sucking noise from under the bonnet that Robins and Day in Glasgow still can't sort out, enjoy yours if it means anything my spaced out neighbour thinks it looks Boss from the rear

Sounds like yours is running rich? May need the ECU looking at or spark plugs. Mine get 45 to the gallon on a long journey.

That one is a 208 THP engine, the first Generation has a 200 THP Engine

They rework the injection and air cooling system, it revs a lot faster on the BPS 208 than the old one

As an all round daily use car, this would be better than the ST. Im 47, like a bit of comfort but with power. I do not want rock hard suspension, and need refinement on the motorway. The ST is too noisy, has one of those silly fake sound things pumping into the cabin, what a joke. Why treat the buying public as fools? I want to hear the REAL sound, not fake rubbish. Thats main reason I hate the ST, interior is shit, lots of fiddly buttons, questionable build quality and too firm a ride. Would be hard work using it every day. Overpriced junk, yet every reviewer seems to be paid by Ford to say its the best hot hatch. Do me a favour.

Mate this would not really be the car for you this car is rock hard on suspention its the Peugeot sport model its lower harder and got the LSD the standard GTI be the best choice for you Great car btw.

Those 308 are very good. I have rented a 1.2 liter 130 HP wich was amazingly good. The quality of the interior is top compared to my focus st mk2 wich is ugly and very cheap.
