I take the good ol' Nikon D3 to test out it's low light performance. It was definitely ahead of it's time. The Live View's autofocus may be slow but it comes in super handy when composing shots. With the Tamron 45 on the D3, this setup is pretty incredible for street photography and portraits. Love the D3 in my hands and I can see why D3 users love it!
Do you have the legendary Nikon D3 in your bag? Comment below and let me know if you're still using it!

Fully agree! I absolutely love my D3S for the same reason - it is awesome for low light street photography. Coupled with the Tamron 45mm f/1.8 it's a partnership made in heaven. I operate D850 and D800 and to be honest I actually prefer the D3S experience - it just gets the job done - no fuss, absolutely predictable and reliability is 100%. Forget pixel peeping - just frame the shot carefully and let this friendly beast of a DSLR get on with the job!! You won't regret it.

I’m going to photograph an even today, taking my D3 with the Tamron SP 35mm F1.4 :) I have had the odd photographer point out I have old stuff but who cares! It’s all about the pictures and the user :) D3 easily delivers stunning results! I’ve seen photographers with all the latest gear that have failed to capture events nicely!! you don’t need the latest stuff

Nice. Have the D3 and D3s and been on the fence about getting the Tamron 45mm. The VC is perfect for low light photography and it's still available at a great price of $399

I still use my D3 and D700. My Z7 rests comfortably in my equipment closet. I have used 3D Focus Tracking for sharp images every time. That feature was left out of the Z7.

Nice! I find myself using the D3 a lot more because of how it feels in my hands. The Z6 is getting closer to how your Z7 spends it's time now, haha.

Try DXO PhotoLab or DXO PureRaw best noise reduction also restores loss colors due to high ISO. I export to DNG if I want to edit in another program after.

Great video! Quick questions . How good is the back lcd screen? Was it pretty accurate? Can you see well during the day and night time? Thanks in advance for your information.

The LCD screen is accurate but I wouldn't trust it for fast action or moving subjects. The LCD is definitely bright enough during bright days and nights. Thanks for watching and I hope this helps!

Hello, I'm using Nikon D3. The problem I'm facing now is that I can't move the focus point in normal mode. The four-way buttons work normally. Can scroll to change the menu, can view pictures, I wonder why the focus point can't be moved. thank you

Nice pictures I have a question my Nikon d3100 in live view looks like shutter speed Always is same manual or Auto do you think something is wrong with the camera
@BoostLeekdMedia
@BoostLeekdMedia 2 жыл бұрын
The D3100's Live View won't adjust for exposure. It seems like it will automatically make sure the viewer can see the subject clearly. I've even changed the ISO and aperture and it's still the same. The D3100's live view is definitely behind times but at least it still functions as a live view.

I wonder if you bumped the ISO higher (and the shutter speed to, say 1/60s), would you still really need to post-process...?
@BoostLeekdMedia
@BoostLeekdMedia Жыл бұрын
depends. i think post processing really depends how you want the image to look. But really, you dont really have to, especially with the D3.

POV Portraits: 🙂 with the Nikon D3: 😳 AT NIGHT: 🥵 i currently using a D3 and also struggling shooting at night, so this video really helpful. But, imo, the D3 's Live view kinda useless, i use Manual focus, the image is sharp on the screen, then i press the shutter, watch it, and the image blur as hell (maybe i did something wrong, since your photo still sharp)

Do you have blurry pictures when you focus via the viewfinder? What lens are you using? Depth of field can be very shallow when using a 1.4 at nearby distance...!

@@BoostLeekdMedia Ah, I understand. It does very well in low light, but not quite like the D3s when you're talking about usable iso. I look forward to the next video where you use strobes. One can do very neat things when you can control the light. I carry around 3 strobes, SB-800.
