If this was the primary plan with the gopro, I think you could have gotten away with an Insta360 Go 2. It comes with a little clamp mount that is perfect for hat brims, is like 1/4 the mass, and has storage built in. All for $300. The Caddx Peanut is a slightly different version of the same camera, won't come with the accessories for attaching to stuff, but only costs $259.

Probably about as much as I'm into this one, good to see alternatives though. Haven't decided exactly what to do with it but I do like it so far 🙂
