POV Street Photography in Seoul🇰🇷 (Sony A7ii, Sigma 85mm F1.4 & Sigma 24-70mm F2.8)

Join me while I head to the Seoul city wall or 서울 한양도성 in Korean (Pronounced "Seoul Hanyangdoseong") I'm running on no sleep in this video but it was totally worth it! Witnessing a great sunrise in another country is just something that is so amazing to me. It makes me appreciate my ability to travel around the world :) If you're ever in Seoul, I highly recommend going to the Seoul city wall! Beautiful piece of architecture and history of seoul, with amazing view points of the city.

@StrawHats In this video, I'm using the original wandrd prvke 31. It's a very nice bag but a bit big for everyday use! So I also use a cheap camera messager bag for everyday use now!

A7 II is stil pretty capeable. I always get tempted to upgrade when i see videos that show me what im missing but in the end it stil holds up for most cases. I should remind myself more to it. Nice video!

A7ii is still very capable. I have captured some of my best photos on that camera. I may have upgraded to the a7iv but I still miss the a7ii! That camera is good value haha

It is amazing how you’re able to get the right focus every single time, mine a7ii keep missing focus a lot.

Haha, I don't always get the photos in focus. I just edit the ones that are in focus. Your settings and lens also play a role in getting sharp images 👌

Hey Brother Amal, nice photos--many thanks for the stats next to the photos. ...thanks for taking us along to see the Wall. I'm strongly considering going to full frame from my Fuji and Sony Aps-c cameras. I want to learn & experience street photography. From my research, the A7II offers good value for its age & capability. My concern is missing shots trying to navigate the menu. For B&W, can I largely set it and forget it? Peace.

Thank you so much! And I'm sure the A7ii has a similar system UI to older A6000 series cameras. So it should feel familiar. I'm also sure that there's a setting to change the Jpegs to black and white with the creative styles. Definitely rent an A7ii and give it a try first though!

Hey thanks bro! This is a video that I plan to make in the future. I use my own presets for all of my photos. I only have a few presets but I think they do the job for the style of photography I do!

Thanks a lot! And hope you enjoy it 😄👍🏿 And the map application I was using is Naver Maps! Naver is their equivalent to Google! Google maps doesn't work well in Korea because the korean government doesn't allow the storage of korean maps outside south korean servers! So I'd recommend downloading Naver or Kakao maps to help get you around!

It is a great first camera! It was my first camera and allowed me to learn photography in its form instead of relying on the greatest and latest tech! But if you can afford it I would get a used a7iii. But either camera is great for photography!

I definitely do recommend the Sony a7ii. But if your budget allows for it, I would go for a used a7iii, but either is great for photography!

How's your battery? My a7r2 is driving me crazy because of the battery

The battery on the a7ii isn't the best but it's not bad. At least for photos. I've had multiple days where I used the camera all day on one battery. But on really heavy days I will need to use more then 1 battery. Then again I would guess the a7r2 will have worse battery life because its pushing more mp.

I haven't tested it, but I think it will save if I set it up and use it only when I need more than 40mp. What do you think? And I'm currently carrying 3 batteries, but I'm planning to buy 2 more. I'm very afraid of running out of batteries.

@RexBarnes-cx6zj I also carried 3 batteries but never used more then 2 in one go. You will be fine if you turn off your camera when it's not in use!
