I think a big contributor to your difficulty carving is the fact that you file down your edges on new boards. The board will always feel washy when you don't have any edges.
@ryannpurvis2 ай бұрын
This is facts, I'm not that serious about carving right now, when I am, I'll make sure those edges are good!

Love the videos Ryan! Always Inspiring me to get on my board and get better! Living in the uk does make snowboarding often pretty difficult ( luckily we have indoor centres for that ) but nevertheless these vids get me through that off time 😄

Hey Ryan you should try to go to Mt hood meadows it’s a nice rural resort over in hood river Oregon it’s very scenic and depending on the time that you go it’s almost always powder Also zeb Powell shows up sometimes :)

My family and I are looking to go on a ski trip this in late December and I would like to know what you think the best resort for a budget, has some decently difficult trails, has low-cost houses/lodges that’s in the Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, and Montana area. Could you recommend me a resort with that criteria?

I made a carving tutorial some years ago if that helps. There are probably better ones on yt (or at least less cringy ones lol) but the gist is to keep leaning towards the centre of the turn, 90 degrees from the board. With the load distributed evenly to both feet. As you progress into the turn, if you stop increasing the lean angle at some point the board will start to drift or at least the radius of the turn will be increasing, but if you keep leaning up until the board is 90 degrees to the fall line, then you can start decrasing the lean angle as you ride more uphill. Change the edge before you loose too much speed, and keep carving.
