As a middle child, my mom expects me to act like my big sister even though I am 7 years younger than her, she never buys me stuff unless I act like my older sister. My little sister hits me, I can't hit her or insult her cause I have to set a good example. When my big sister insults me, I can't do anything to defend myself because she is older.my mom says i always act like a child, but when I try being mature and doing good things, she tells me I Will never be like my sister. When my other sisters make mistakes my mom is like "it's okay, we all make mistakes" but when I make mistakes, she says I am dumb, clumsy, and I have holes in my hands. When i get bad grades, she gets mad but when I get good grades she thinks I cheated. When I get bad grades, she takes away whatever I start liking, like my devices, my diary and things like that. But when I get good grades, she just says good job and never gives me anything.I have been asking my mom for an iPad for 3 months, and she said no. But when my sister asked for a iPad while my mom was buying a phone for my big sister, my mom bought my little sister an iPad on the spot. When I said it wasn't fair, she said I wasn't the parent and that she was, and she decides how to spend her money, and she will not spend it on some clumsy, dumb and useless child. My little sister never does anything for my mom, while I have to do it all since my big sister rarely ever comes home.

As a middle child I can relate! I used to say when I was little that being the middle child was great. But during Covid I learned how forgotten I was. I ended up becoming depressed and ate less and no one noticed and thought I had mood swings. I’m better now and I think this is an amazing representation of what people go through! As a middle child, it is simply the worst thing. Oldest says it’s a bad thing as the oldest and always having responsibilities to look out for but middle child’s are always unnoticed, always compared, yelled at for something they didn’t even do, gets less attention, parents blame everything on them then, when a friend of a parent asks how’s your kids, they ram on about their oldest and youngest and the middles just there. It’s like the youngest and oldest are the celebrities and then the middle child’s just someone you don’t know. I love your videos and they help people get hope, hope god rains love on you ❤

It's the opposite for me. I'm a middle child but I always feel like I'm the oldest. My mom told me that I'm more responsible so that's why I get more chores than my siblings do. My oldest brother don't do anything, my younger sister is lazy and she won't help me clean at all so I always have to rely on myself which is hard. However, in friend groups, I also feel left out which is annoying. Don't worry, if some of you are relating to this then don't give up, life will get better. You won't live with your parents forever so if you wanna move out really badly but you can't, give it time. You'll get it in no time but as for now, finish your education! I’m the youngest and I get treated like this. My sister was diagnosed with autism and anxiety. I suffer from them too but mine is unnoticed. When I was in year 6, I was leaving all my friends. But my sister, because she was leaving year 11, was given all the attention. It hurts. She suffers from fibromyalgia ( chronic pain ) and one legs shorter than the other. But it really hurts. J gave away my childhood because she smashed glasses in my bed, abused me mentally and physically and is manipulative. It’s so traumatic to know that other families get on. My parents force me to grow up really quick. When I was 9, my mum didn’t let me go trick or treating because my sister ( 14 ) was too old. Nor did I calve a pumpkin. I’m my grandparents least favourite and to know my sister is abusive and horrible to me still.. it just. It’s painful. Sorry for the rant xx❤❤

The forgetting to call you for meals is so accurate though! I lose track of time super easily so I usually don’t realize it’s dinner time unless my mom texts me to come eat, but a lot of the time she’ll forget and I’ll come up like 10-20 minutes later and all the food is gone. And there’s rarely ever stuff in the pantry/fridge that I want to eat as well (a combination of being picky and having a huge family that consumes stuff faster than it can be bought)

I had to admit all of this things are true. But I'd like to add me being a "parent" when my parents are gone. I clean the sink, I wash the plates, I mop/sweep the floor, and a lot more. My older brother yes he washes the plates just for him to get extra minutes to play or to have free time. Today as in rn I am a first place in our quizz bee school competition and I won 1st place my parents congratulated me and that's it while my brother draw something with a ball pen with only one stroke. Guess what? My mom decided to post it on ig and Facebook, and the expression on my father's face he was so happy. ;-;. I loved this vid so much! I can relate to this, I'm the middle child and i feel like my parents like my siblings more since they almost always get what they want. I'm often sad but i pretend like I'm not so people won't feel bad for me 😢

Its so weird knowing other middle child are treated badly, my mom who is a middle child was treated better than my aunts. My grandparents was with her mom and even at my grandpa's death bed. She was there and not my aunts.
