Looking back to an awesome day of trad climbing on Holyhead Mountain, Anglesey with this superb route, 'Cursing' VS 4C on gorgeous quartzite rock with bags of friction and character!
I'm interested to know what viewers think of Point of View (first person view) edits, so please let me know in the comments section. Cheers.

Just getting into trad so vids like this are really helpful, even better that they are in my local area, would have been interesting to see where you put your belay ha . Thanks

I'm glad it was handy for you, thanks for letting me know. The belay on top of that slab is actually really tricky. I think I put some gear on the wall behind then went back to the slab.

Looks a lovely line... POV always feel a bit 'sea sick' but you keep your head more still than most. For me it would be good to start with a view of the crag or a topo to better understand the route and the moves Great vid as always

Hi Freddie, hope you're well. It is a great route, particularly the layback and the step out around the arête!

And good point about the topo or overview. This was one of those days when I just pressed record without really planning to film. I might start adding some trad routes to the channel with a bit more of a commentary and production. It'll take my mind off the climbing!

Cheers for that Joe, I wouldn't normally go for full point of view on a climb but the edit seems to work.

Beyond The Trail No probs mate. Yeah but only a beginner really, been doing abit of indoor and outdoor. I only live about half an hour drive from the Beacon centre in Caernarfon, so Snowdonia has plenty of climbs for me to get going!

Great video and nicely led, the rope running over the arete made me a little nervous. The rock looked amazing, was it polished?

Great, I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'll watch it back to check on the rope over the edge. If you mean as I pull out onto the top slab, it's onto easy ground with a fairly rounded edge on the transition, so not so bad. The rock is quartzite, which has amazing friction and really doesn't feel too polished. Great crag.

Looks good. You can get a gimble which really stops the camera movement. Definitely do a shot of the route from the bottom

Thanks. I'm considering getting a newer GoPro with stability built in. If I've planned to shoot the route properly I usually set up cameras for a full view - check out my video of Wrinkled Tower route.
