With an RMC conversion, Hershey will be one of the best parks in the world. Fahrenheit, Great Bear, Skyrush, Candymonium, and RMC'd Wildcat. Outstanding top 5 and gives the park yet another airtime machine. It'll be interesting to see what magic RMC can work and how big Hersheypark decides to take this...

This was actually my favorite coaster at Hershey when I last visited the park in '08. Now when I go to any amusement or theme park, wooden coasters are usually a skip for me. My back can't take their roughness anymore.

This is my home park and I as much as I remember and enjoy riding Wildcat growing up, I really had to talk myself up to getting on this the last couple times. As rough as it currently is, it really sucked all the enjoyment out of riding it. I'm really excited to see what it becomes!

Hershey park confirmed on twitter that wildcat will permanently close on Sunday, July 31st. I can’t believe after all these years wildcat will finally get rmc’d! I wonder what the name will be. Maybe “the wildcat” or “uproar” Or “ironCat” or something I don’t know. What makes it even more believable is that Hershey park said “any suggestions on what we can do with 3,100 feet wooden coaster track” and RMC themselves replied saying “we have a few ideas.” So ITS HAPPENING GUYS!!

I honestly will not miss this headache inducer. I'll take the Comet and Lightening Racer over this any day. RMC do your thing! I've riden Iron Gwazi at Busch Gardens and it's safe to say we're in really good hands with them giving Hershey Park their first.

There's ONE ride that I consider worse than this. Its Grizzly at Kings Dominion. Jesus Christ one of the valleys jerked me so hard I got a headache. I talked to some people before getting out. I waited for them to get off after the next train and when they did they said both of them bumped their heads on the same valley. But never the less, sad to see the first GCI down go the dust but all hope goes to the future. I hope this closure coincides with the "Darker Nights are coming teasers" as one of the teasers used wildcat footage. Great Video! I got back from Hershey a week ago and won't be able to go back to Hershey until next year. Glad to have gotten a last ride on this. CHEERS TO TWISTED TWIZZLERS

Lighting Racer is actually very popular and most people would rather lose Wildcat. Racer only gets small lines because of its high capacity and attendance in the Midway America section declining overall.

@@ArrowThrills The Wildcat is a very short Coaster. If they do convert this Coaster, they will ruin it the same way like they destroyed the Georgia Cyclone. They really chopped that Coaster up and made it shorter. Steel Vengeance on the other hand, they did a great job with the former Mean Streak because Steel Vengeance still follows the same course of it's predecessor but height and length was added.

@@ArrowThrills I rode the original Georgia Cyclone, and the ride time was around 1min 50sec. Twisted Cyclone is 1mi and 20sec, and both versions have a max speed of 50mph. With Mean Streak, 300+ ft of track was added, and not to mention an increased height of the lift hill by 40ft as Steel Vengeance. Mean Streak Trains had a max speed of 65mph, with a ride time of 2min and 45sec. Steel Vengeance Trains max speed is 74mph and with a track length of 5,730 vs Mean Streak at 5,427ft, Steel Vengeance still have a ride time of 2min and 45sec. So yes, Georgia Cyclone has been chopped, and made shorter as Twisted Cyclone.

Didn't give it the care it deserved? Hersheypark it's one of the best maintained parks in the country. They switched from Philadelphia Toboggan trains to Great Coasters International trains and even retracted several times. Notice none of their other rides appear poorly maintained and their safety record is almost perfect.

Everyone always buries the SHIT out of these rides whenever it's announced they're closing/getting the RMC treatment. To me, it's like laughing at a person as their casket is being lowered. Ride might have been rough but it did have its' absolute die-hard fans. Me? I was hoping I'd get to experience that insane bounciness...at least just once. The fact that I'll never be able to experience it now kinda sucks. Just do good work, RMC. Like always.
