I just stumbled across literally the best sounding car i’ve ever heard while trying to figure out if it is normal for z31s to have shitty noises coming from the tranny after rebuild😂 Working at a high-end and sportcar dealership just to make weight to my words.

Great editing, the audio came out pretty good. Nice job. How and where did you set up the mics?

I had 3 microphones total all being recorded at the same time by the same audio recorder. I had one right next to the exhaust, one near the turbo, and one in the cabin. I carefully mixed all these sounds to be as pure sounding as possible. During recording I had to manually adjust gain for each mic to avoid distortion. Although I wish I could go back and record this again with my new audio recorder which doesn't distort audio ever.

I know nothing about reliability when it comes to these, but how reliable is this build, as long as you take the proper precautions like warming up your vehicle and maintain fluids? All while not abusing it like a stolen hellcat

vg engines dont care about what you throw at them. I have a boosted 3.3 that takes abuse all day everyday and it starts right up the next day

Reliable but they are itchy about parts you throw at them, must keep it OEM or very well known brands! As far as taking abuse, they love it! Keep up with your maintenance and you should be fine. These cars need a new harness, timing kit, and some deletes and then you are set :) Owned mine for 6 years (2+2 TT) and I haven’t thought of getting rid of yet

Hello I was the passenger / editor of this video. I was wearing the headphones because I was recording the exhaust, turbo, and cabin audio and I needed to manually adjust the levels so I wouldn't distort the audio. What you hear in the video is exactly what I heard through the headphones.

It's a manual, big single turbo 300zx. I EQ'd the 3 microphones that were on the exhaust, turbo, and cabin to sound as accurate as what we heard in real life.
