Best tip I ever learned with my pool and filter is to literally put your pool filter into your washing machine with your normal laundry soap and it really does clean it of course you don't dry it no reason too. But no reason to buy new filters unless you rip it. Best money saving tip ever

Yes! I've been learning as I go- I have this same pool. MOST of the chemicals out there are not necessary, especially on a regular maintenance basis. Another tip for anyone just beginning- do your own research (like watching videos on this channel!) and dont automatically trust a pool supply store salesman - they will likely sell you all kinds of unnecessary stuff, over-complicating things. And just because something is more money definitely doesn't mean it's the best products. One example: a bag of Arm & Hammer baking soda (aka 'sodium bicarbonate') from the baking aisle for maintaining pH levels/raising alkalinity levels.

I took the filter out and cleaned it daily with the garden hose, I found that made a zhzuge differencewith my clarity, have you checked the chlorine level with test strips yet?
@l.a.picasa4 ай бұрын
I'm sure you've figured it all out now being it's been 2 years but for anyone else reading, over treating with any chemical can also cause cloudiness. Make sure to test all levels and make sure everything is good. Almost anything on that list, if not at the ok level, could cause cloudiness. Also, like the other user said, daily cleaning of the filter cartridge definitely helps. Make sure you're running it at least a few hours every day.

@PovertyPointCustoms3 жыл бұрын
I would vacuum it, that will get rid of the dirt but make sure to clean the filter every day and I run the pump for 8 to 12 hours a day and add sock-it chlorine and that should clear up the cloudiness
@l.a.picasa4 ай бұрын
Also depending on what the cloud is at the bottom, if it is too fine, it can pass through the vacuum filter . I noticed if the pool has enough activity, it stirs up that stuff and the cartridge filter will catch it but without it being stirred up, it won't reach up to the skimmer entrance to the filter. If what is settling to the bottom is extremely fine, flocculent is great for making stuff bind together making it easier to vacuum up because then it won't go right through- your vacuum bag/filter will be able to catch it. (That's assuming you're using that type of vacuum that connects to your garden hose). ** I'd love to know if there's a better way to vacuum this pool other than using the garden hose so that I'm not adding so much water to my pool whenever I have to vaccuum, causing me to potentially have to rebalance chemicals. Please help! And also PLEASE correct anything I have said if it's incorrect- I'm still learning! 😊 🏊🏼♂️🏊🏼♀️🏊🏼♂️🏊🏼♀️🏊🏼♂️🏊🏼♀️🏊🏼♂️🏊🏼♀️

@PovertyPointCustoms3 жыл бұрын
Make sure the pump is on when you add it and the pump filter is clean so it is running fully (pump). @@frankiew311 from their website Do I need to prepare the ground or dig a hole for the pool? The pool should be set up on level ground (±2%) free of rocks, branches, other objects and holes. Do not install the pool on sand; this can cause shifting under the water and will void your warranty. There is no need to dig a hole or otherwise prepare the ground. I put the whole bag in all at once but make sure your pump is running and you don't just dump the chlorine all-in-one spot make sure it's evenly spread over the time for the pool that way it will not cause any issues with your liner by fading if it sinks. With the pompon it will help circulate the chlorine. I like to have my pump outlet pointing to the side and down a tad but still underwater Facing away from the pomp as it will cause the water in the pool to start rotating clockwise a bit directing any debris towards the filter inlet.

It was a good video though. Can I ask questions? Let's see...Do you have a certainorder to do these steps? Or does that matter? Seems to me, (remember, I haven't a clue and may not know what I'm talking about) that I should use the net before cleaning the filter, so the stirring up the water would send some of the dirt into the filter area for you. And then add your Chlorine at the end once a week. But the way you did the video, you cleaned the filter and then did your Chlorine and last used the net. Is there a reason to do it one way or the other? Sorry, I just don't want to screw it up. Thanks- Karen
@PovertyPointCustoms4 жыл бұрын
I would clean the filter after you use the leaf net to collect the debris in the pool, then add the chlorine last, just make sure your pump is left on after adding the chlorine so the chlorine circulates through the pool. Happy swimming:)

is it easy for a single person to put the cover on or does it require 2 people?

I always cover it by myself the easiest and to start off when you're covering it is where your filter is that way I find it almost pushes the cover to the other side to secure it

@PovertyPointCustoms4 жыл бұрын
I use the regular hth brand sock-it shock treatment (454 grams) from Walmart or costco and have had no issues. Just make sure your pump is on to circulate it, if not it will sink to the bottom where people have had issues with it staining the liner.
