I discovered this a few months back. After experimenting with many colors I just gave up on white. The yellow too. No matter what focal length. I use. Could be the powder I got. Your white looks chunky like mine does. Not sure how I haven’t seen your video yet. Lol. I’ve been having a blast with colors last while. It really is a game changer.

You can also try just using a heat gun on the lowest setting and you can avoid the wait times. You will need a hair of sanding if you left some loose powder outside of your design.

Hi everyone, there is a much easier way to do this. Just remove as much as you can and use a heat gun on low, or the broiler or a toaster oven. No worrying about power or alignment. Then just lightly sand when done.

@kaylalewis60422 жыл бұрын
I have never tried leather. It would have to be thick as you need a good groove to make sure powder sets in it.

Generally, you can’t mix powder coat colors. It isn’t like regular liquid paint. Sometimes it will work, but sometimes they won’t mix and you get a blotchy result, even if it’s from the same manufacturer, and they same type of powder (polyester, acrylic, epoxy, etc.).

Hi, I am using a 5.5W laser (Sculpfun) at the following settings: Speed: 2000mm/min and Power: 60% but on the second pass (burning the powdered ink), all the powder disappears with the laser. Could it be that the laser power is too high? Thanks

How deep do you go with the first engraving? Does the thickness of the powder coat make a big difference?
@kaylalewis60422 жыл бұрын
I don't go too deep. Just enough to create a good groove for powder to lay where it doesn't scrape out when I use the card to smooth. Not sure I understand your second question.
