Thanks, they flowed out and looked even better than I thought they would! It's only my 4th or 5th session powder coating so I'm still learning :D

Always fun to see processes like these. I have the same blasting cabinet. I did a few upgrades that you might want to consider to make the experience not so terrible. Silicone the inside joints, LED Strip lighting inside along the perimeter of the top glass, Vacuum with cyclone dust catcher, I lowered the inside rack (reduced the length and width of the rack so that it sits lower), added a small Harbor Freight pressure regulator and dryer to the air input, and few other things that are hard to describe. The parts turned out great!

I'm familiar with the mods you are talking about. I do have a filter and regulator screwed to the metal beam right above the cabinet. I may end up doing some of them in the future including making it a top loader. The 15x10" rims of the Firebird wouldn't have fit if the opening was 1/16th inch smaller!! The wheels turned out awesome in the end blasted and powder coated with pristmatic powder's aluminum and clear...should be in a video in the next couple of weeks or so. For $400 compared to the competition's pricing, the HF blast cabinet isn't a bad starter set up and I would definitely recommend a few of the mods you mention at minimum.

Most cabinet have problems. I bought the HF one due to Price. I was just looking for a prebuilt cabinet. All of the faults can easily be remedied! Cheers

Ya Buddy! I had that same blast cabinet. I hated it! Lol. It works good just make a mess in my little garage. Great idea grounding the blaster. Finished product turn out nice! Thank you for sharing.

It is messy for sure. I have glass bead dust all over the place! I kept getting shocked in the biceps haha. When I reached over and grabbed the door chain I didn't get shocked even once more and the gun didn't clog up the entire rest of the session. I never thought the static electricity was my problem with the gun clogging up every 30 seconds.

Actually I am glad you did post it. It gives a idea of to process. I didn’t know about gassing out to be honest with you. I traditionally have had parts blasted and used POR-15 on them. But I like the look of the powder coat process. I see the equipment has come down in price.

Nice, while I was recording I didn't get the footage I had in mind when I started. I think I pulled it together good enough though for a decent video. Glad you were able to get something out of it!
