Thank you for posting this. I am researching my great-grandfather' steam engineering tools from the early 1910's. I have his planimeter for reading the power cards, as well as his old pantograph for copying the power card graph. This was extremely useful in understanding the application, especially showing a gauge in actual use.

One important mistake. The atmospheric line needs to be drawn with the instrument connected to unit, to give exactly the length of the power card
