what kind of oil do you use? and what colors?

In this video I protected the wood with modified tung oil. Modified means that it is without a strong, slightly unpleasant smell. Tung oil is obtained by pressing the seed from the nut of the tung tree. Tung oil hardens upon exposure to air (through polymerization), and the resulting coating is transparent and has a deep, almost wet look. For some it is considered the best natural protection for wood. My experience is that it adds a bit of a yellowish color to the wood, which I don't like when I want to keep the wood whitish. I've also found that it stays slightly tacky, which means dust sticks to the wood, which can be annoying. I currently use natural beeswax (or cream) for bowls that come into contact with food. The cream is softer and easier to apply to the wood than the waxes, nourishes the wood nicely and has a pleasant smell of honey.

The calipers hold the sandpaper in place. I like this tool. It is simple and very effective.

In this case, I used modified tung oil to protect the wood. The modified tung oil does not have a strong, slightly unpleasant smell, which does not disappear over time. For me, it is important that the oil is diluted, as this makes it easier to penetrate into the wood pores. After this treatment, especially the dishes, I coat them with beeswax, for even better water resistance. Thank you for your question and have a nice day ;)
