There are HP numbers flying all over the place but many sources have claimed close to 145 HP at the rear wheel to begin with! The motor seems to actually be underrated in stock form, as it is making about 160HP crank stock. Every exhaust manufacturer and magazine rates them above what power commander is getting. Here is a quote from cycle world magazine: "Claimed peak output is said to be 145 horsepower at 10,000 rpm with 78.2 pound-feet of torque at 9,500 rpm, measured at the rear wheel." Looks like power commander yielded NO GAINS, but a little LESS in stock form! I even own a PCV in my K5 GSX-R 750. Hopefully I gained something!

what were the pre-power commander hp & torque numbers?

Could you please advise the PCS model number for the 2015. I can not find it anywhere.

Did this fix the snatchy throttle? What were the dyno numbers before the installation? Dynos vary greatly so we need to compare before and after not dyno tests done on different bikes across the world since there are so many variations.

Did you get a better response in the midrange, and did it give any other positive gains anywhere?
@DJMotoVlogs9 жыл бұрын
Every Dyno reads different too and there are many other variables that can affect the numbers. Dont sweat too much about the power numbers shown on video. Just compare baseline and then after mods dyno numbers of your own bike.

can you be more specific on the horsepower?If suzuki claims 145 at the crank it should be close to 128 at the wheel.
@thisisbenji909 жыл бұрын
+randy darino Suzuki claims 145 wheel, but all dynos read different. I've seen other stock GSXS1000s dyno at 145.

Is the snatchy throttle response gone after PC install?
@forrysc9 жыл бұрын
+John2710 Much of that is fixed by adjusting the throttle cables. Mine were very loose when new. I took most of the slack out of them and while it's still a little abrupt at times, it's no worse than any of the 3 Z1000s I've owned.
@John27109 жыл бұрын
Maybe I made wrong description of the problem or used wrong word - snatchy. The problem is that on my bike is almost impossible to hold constant speed between 20-40mph. I does not matter in which gear the bike is. It is accelerating or decelerating.

@@lowspeed2000 Hi. I bought BMW. Smooth as silk.
@modru20044 жыл бұрын
@@lowspeed2000 your TPS is probably out of spec. there are videos on youtube that show how to fix it. if you have an 18+ model you will need a breakout lead and voltimeter. if you have an older model you can just jumper the bike to put it in dealer mode and adjust by looking at the dash. i just bought my bike yesterday and it was horribly out of spec. fixed it today......its like a different bike. so much smoother on throttle now.

Should have shown the dyno graph before PCV.

Pro tip, get your ECU flashed instead of a power commander.
@sen_Sayyy Жыл бұрын
Can you get both?
@Gripitandripit450R Жыл бұрын
@sensei there's no need for both. The ECU flash does a lot more than what a power comander can do. Check out Moore Mafia on KZbin. He has some great videos of ECU flashing showing the increases on a Dyno so you can see the gains. My bike had a 30 hp gain after flashed, a power commander could never achieve those results.

why is it only 141 hp? when suzuki claims 145 stock?
@opmike3439 жыл бұрын
+John Washington Horsepower claims from manufacturers (car, motorcycle, whatever) are ALWAYS crank horsepower numbers, not the power at the wheel.
@thisisbenji909 жыл бұрын
+opmike343 Not in this case, it's 145 wheel.
@forrysc9 жыл бұрын
+opmike343 There was a youtube'd press release at the Isle of Mann where one of the engineers mentioned the bike making 163hp. After driveline loss, 140-145rwhp is about where you land. I would like to have seen the before dyno to see what the true gains where, if there were any.
@dontfuckncordme9 жыл бұрын
Yea, I agree with forrysc. Please show the dyno runs before the add ons. Or at least show us the snappy throttle response is cured
@markmywords3128 жыл бұрын
fucking dynos, jeezus, I dont know of any shop that sets them up right or without a big smattering of bullshit. 141bhp is stock power so on this basis the PC is pointless
