This game is actually how I learned to play Texas hold em. I continued to learn by playing actually people in VR. I went back to playing this game this week for old times sake. I love when cards go in such a weird way that you just can't be mad at losing the showdown. I had a KQ hole and Sam had KK. Another KQQ hit the table and we both had full house, but Sam had the bigger house just barely. It's one of those rare moments in the game where things just line up so fucking weirdly. I've only ever witnessed something like this once before with a few dozen hours playing poker under my belt, a hand that just seems impossible to lose with and your opponent has the same exact hand just slightly bigger. I can't remember the exact hand, most likely was a flush or straight the first time I witnessed such a brutal hand. It was years ago. This game does teach bad habits though. You really shouldn't force a showdown as often as these fuckers do, especially with the kinds of hands they do it with. Good to learn the basics, bad for practical use.
