The bottle of malt comes out when the set up is complete and I can drink to success.

I remember way back, when a torch was the best toy ever. The number of books I read under the covers are beyond number. No wonder I fell asleep in class. My friends and I would be a menace with some of the torches being produced now.😆

Nowadays torches would probably light up your entire house, not just under your sheet 😂

I guess we forget how easy we really have things ...and ......how poorly prepared we are for basic "situations".....I still remember my parents having a little tin with candles and matches for a black out lol...Great video Mac....

I might expand on this video at some point, but I really need some bad weather to try things out.

The only other thing I would add, is maybe a powerbank. You can get various different battery sizes, I've got a 20,000mah one, and it's handy to have if your phone runs out of battery and you need help. Would be ideal for you while you're out and about in remote areas (I do worry about you sometimes!) but also to keep at home for a power cut type of emergency :)

The idea off the video is preparedness look at the past to find a cheap and efficient way to for people to react to a power cut in this day and age. It takes about 30 mins to implement and will be hands off to operate. I will use this tried and tested method in a power outage but being a camper I do have all the modern kit in place.

Mac , I worked with heating oil and the company had a pump where people could buy kerosene, which is a lot easier than trying to get it out a tank. It's fairly common as some customers collect if for properties inaccessible by tanker or garage heaters.

I am coming at it from the angle of what is round about or you already have.
