Such a classic game! I'll always play PG. The end game discussions are so illuminating. I'm glad you reference the recharged rulebook, because the changes are subtle, but important! We ALWAYS forget the new 'areas per player count' table. We wouild have totally played this with 5 areas.

I like the fact that this map, being a German Euro game, divides Poland between the Braun 🥹 und Blau zones almost exactly along the Ribbentrop-Molotov line 👹🤌🏼

You need to change your thumbnail graphic - I got all excited for the Northern Europe map, which is the only other one I have apart from the base game currently!!

Not sure you should be blocking off the borders. I’m pretty sure you can still use the connections of “dead” areas to build to “live” ones.

Page 6 of my PowerGrid rulebook: >Players may never use any cities or *connections* that lie outside of the selected playing zone during the game. But that'd be an interesting variant.
