Preethi Srinivasan believes that the key to success is not solid at any place, however, if people know how to evaluate, encounter and face challenges, the doors to success will start to open automatically. In the journey to attaining success, confidence is one characteristic that everyone struggles with at one point, but Preethi Srinivasan achieved this by trusting her abilities and by being comfortable in her own skin.
Preethi Srinivasan is the co-founder of Soulfree along with her mother, Mrs. Vijayalakshmi Srinivasan. Growing up as a national level swimmer and a state level cricket player, Preethi Srinivasan had a freak accident in Pondicherry, India. She completely lost her identity in the span of a split second from being a bright young student and sportsperson to a person confined to a wheelchair for over 14 years now.
With her family as her backbone, she reached a state of equipoise that allows her to smile despite desperately heart wrenching circumstances.

I identify with her, with her parents, the value of love and faith have unimaginable rewards, my quadriplegic son since he was 18 years old, we always love and support him, we transmit our faith to him, he believed in him and today he has two professions, is studying a third, has a wife and two daughters, is in charge of a department at the largest university in Ecuador, all human beings are valuable, but we need to feel loved, valued and accepted

There is a fine rehab institution in Vellore for paraplegics and quadriplegics, built by Dr Mary Verghese who herself is a paraplegic, fondly known as Dr on wheels, started in the 1960s, only one of its kind on India, her famous book is called “ take my hands” I think lot of Indians do not know that there is a institution like this, It is really worth visiting it. Indian government honored her with Padmashri award. It is all in google, Appreciate this young lady advocating for spinal injury victims.

An absolutely fantastic and poignant speech from Preethi! I just wonder how she felt about the audience continuing to clap in between her talk. She speaks of how she wants to be treated the same as others and yet the audience clapped numerous times when she just spoke about her quotidian life (kind of inspiration p**n). Not that she doesn’t deserve the praise, she ABSOLUTELY does, but I think her speech goes beyond just her physical circumstances. It’s about her own instinctual resiliency. Idk.

One of safest moments of my life.Preethi used to practice with coach Darmalingam where also my son Vijai frequented and then went on to represent Tamil Nadu in u 13,19,23 etc. I still remember Preethi a very vivacious and pretty and beautiful girl who used to get frequent glances from all senior players in the ground.Her outstanding grit and determination is to be admired and followed
