You probably already know this, but you can save some power by putting the incubators on a Cycle Sensor set to be green for about 30% of a cycle. Put the incubators on high priority and as soon as the rancher is done, tweak the timing. I believe a lullaby lasts one cycle but don't quote me on that. This is all assuming the incubators still use power 100% of the time and not just while the dupe is doing their lullaby. The devs might have changed it.

incubator is one of few I enjoy manage with simple on and off switch, switch eggs, grinding husbandry skill. Anything else is pretty much automatic, such as auto sweepers in every corners. But I am envious of every base i see oni youtubers upload. so symmetrical. mine kinda abstract.

Instead of siphoning out oxygen into space, you can set the oxygen generation process on a cycle timer with automation. This way, you can have it run say 30% of the cycle initially, and scale up as your oxygen demand grows, instead of dealing with over pressurised areas.

Cycle sensor all you need on those incubators. The way you had the automation seems like if it doesn't sense enough critters then it fires up then just going to be running the whole time till it hatches. Which is wasting more power than just having them on the cycle sensor. Even if you are over hatching the hatches thats fine have them sent to the kill room. so they either get filled in a hatch or they get filled in the fridge. Sweepers should be pulling the eggs out the rooms and sent to an evolution chamber So if they hatch naturally before needed for the incubation chamber they also go straight to the meat stockpile.

Ok, I am new to the channel and game. I have watched several vids and I am mostly keeping up. I found that I rush way too much in my games and fail hard and fast by cycle ~100. That said, I do not understand the doors on the water tank. I understand what they are doing, but how does it work? Open doors do not transfer temperature or did I misunderstand that?

They close when the tank needs to be chilled. The open when the tank is cold enough, because yes you are right, open doors in a vacuum do not transfer temperature :)

I am typically a "if it feels like an exploit, I don't want to do it" type of guy. It would have def saved me from the 10 gas tanks of finite storage though, ha.
