When it comes to Canadian teams for this coming season I see the: - Oilers and Canucks as having the best quality rosters for the regular season and postseason - Jets as potentially a good regular-season team but a playoff bust (9 straight relevant games of the latter type of 4 or more goals allowed in each) - Leafs as another potential good regular-season team even with the likelihood, with the roster they have, they won't win 4 or more playoff games - Sens as at best a fringe playoff team but potentially one to finish as high as 4th in the Atlantic (definitely not top-3 though) - Habs and Flames likely to compete to try to avoid finishing with the lowest # of regular-season standings points among Canadian teams

Doesnt Minnesota have a pretty good prospect pool? And their best players are early to mid 20s...

Surprised you aren’t more bullish on Seattle with Beniers, Wright and Catton, along with guys like McCann, Bjorkstrand, and some strong vets with Cup pedigree.

With the Sabres having so many favorable contracts with young players and seemingly an outstanding future Goalie tandem (UPL and Devin Levi), I could see putting Sabres in the middle, but not the bottom.

Wow these guys are excessively low on Anaheim. Best 23 and under core in the league, they had over 320 man games lost to injury and predominantly to their best players in Carlsson, Mintyukov, Zegras and McTavish. Zellweger played less than 30 games and Cutter played one game, of course their record was bad considering Vatrano Strome and Leason were regularly getting top six minutes

Having San Jose ahead of Anaheim is staggering, don't think this will age well....

I consider the 2 California teams as on about the same level. Perhaps both teams will see improved regular-season standings-point totals but still see both finishing in the Pacific Division's bottom-3.
@robertevans00Ай бұрын
Sharks have had better luck with the lotto, Grier has drafted really well, zero contracts on the books in 5 years, heavily invested in player development etc. I’m 5-7 years ANA and SJS will be powerhouses of the Pacific

Coin flip IMO but Anaheim has reached the last two drafts - we will see if it pans out. Could be a masterclass or could be out-thinking the room.

The teams you have in front of Fla over the next 5 years is baffling. Barkov, Reinhart, Tkachuk, Lundell, Rodrigues, Luostarinen, Forsling all locked up for the foreseeable future. All (sans Rodrigues) on the right side of 30. And the best GM in hockey. Again, baffling.

I think the Sennecke pick tanked the Ducks image in the "media". He will be way better than people realize and I wouldn't be surprised if he makes a big impact with the team next year.
