42:00 Disagreement in the call there but Monsters definitely cannot use the Hurl BPA in a turn that they participate in a Heroic Combat. So Buhrdur calling Heroic Combat prevents hurl from him until next turn.

@@DesmondDentresti I agree with you here man, I tuned out when the boys were talking in the video tbh. But you are right that hurls and heroic combats are a no no. I think they are referring to combatting before a hurl happens to prevent situations from occurring (like a hurl). -J

I wouldn't say that arnor got better, they also got a couple nervs. + Palantier ruel + Arvedui now Legendary Hero + Ranger of Arnor now has Hatred (Angmar) and options for Banner & Warhorn (+ Arnor Warrior still 8p) +- Aranarth Banner reduced to 3", but he benefits from it - Malbeth 10p more expensiv & -1 courage (but good Int.) - Knights 1p more expensiv - Captain of Arnor 5p more expensiv - Argadir -1 Might +1 Will

You also don't have that much might anymore. Most of the time you don't have more than 3 Heros -> 6-7 Might

@@grimgrauman7650 It's for when Arvedui is sniped and you lose the Fearless. It's not meta by any means, but it's a great contemporary in case they run a Balrog or something and quickly leader-kill you before you get the most out of Arvedui. Warhorns also got slightly cheaper. Everyone knows Arnor falls apart without Arvedui. The Warhorn helps negate that. You won't see it every list because 25 points for it is still pretty steep, but I plan on running it myself

The 'feed big hero 1 miniature' is such a simple approach to them and definitely doesn't work against Aragorn if the opponent is only slightly competent.

I would love a video where you rate each list at different points levels for competitive viability, that would be seriously interesting. Say 200, 500, 700 or 650 and 1k. Then that could be xreffed to these scores. Go on, it would make excellent content!

@@samf7020 it’s a dice alteration thing where if you hit on 6’s the shade means that you can’t hit at all as there is no rule stating that 6’s always hit. Not in the spirit of the game tbh, but something to look for in the FAQ. -J

I gave all my rangers names and wrote them on the base and after years of playing them I started to learn who was who just by colour scheme. I've seen ppl use loom bands and placing them in the model to indicate when might, will or fate had been used. -Sean

Not being negative (bumped for the new addition) but what you guys were talking about in the beginning with new good heroes being so good it’s going to be so tough as a evil player it’s like a lot of these new good armies are like the bears just super good… and I still think arnor is great but with the fight value inflation I think it’s a big nerf of them… tying with Gondor warriors… brutal!

Arnor warriors are 2 PT cheaper than a minas tirith with spear + shield. An arnor batleline will still grind minas into dust. But the arnor heros are looking really killable now.

It's a real shame that Hill Trolls can't be taken in Host of the Witch-king. There isn't a single army where they can be taken alongside the Witch-king, and I can't imagine why adding Hills Trolls to that list isn't a no-brainer. Overall, the evil Angmar lists are pretty decent.

I don't think I'll play Army of Carn Dûm, but I do like the brutish, smash-everything-or-suck vibe they've got going! And I suppose if I were the Witch-king of Angmar, I too might leave my hill trolls exclusively in Carn Dûm, the capitol of my fell kingdom. To be perfectly honest, if I were the Witch-king, I would see no tactical value whatsoever in sallying forth with any trolls in my full, united host. Their physical strength and durability is meaningless, and they're a pain to feed. 😏
