POWER RIDGE PROBLEMS & SOLUTIONS

Power ridges are used to torque the teeth (so that they are not tipped inwards). They often create halos in your aligners. Be sure to wear your aligners 22 hours a day and do chewing exercises to fully seat your aligners.
Problems with power ridges:
-don’t seat properly
-Soreness
-create halos
-Edge creates lip Irritation

Looking forward to this! I do my chewing exercises numerous times a day, combined with clenching, but they never fully seat on my upper incisors (No attachments)

Could be a number of things. Usually the tray seats fully after 3-4 days. Take a picture and email it to your provider to see what they say.

Another way out if the rough/ sharp edge of the aligners : use ortho wax. Its easy to find in drug store as well :-)

Ive been waiting for my refinement trays for 6 weeks,is this normal?? My jaws are so sore and have creases. What should I do, seems like my dentist is ignoring me and dropping the ball here?

Refinement turnaround time can take anywhere from 4-6 weeks (sometimes a bit longer) depending on if a scanner is used and how many times it takes your doctor and the lab technician to revise your plan. Call the office to check on the status of your order.

@@TrayMinderyes 4 weeks after the initial refinement scan I called for an update. They then told me the scan needed to be redone. Today makes 2 weeks since 2nd refinement scan. I have been patience with the 19 trays thus far but now its becoming hard to eat and sleep. Thanks so much for the reply.
