Dood! I just moved to OK from Colorado and did not realize there were such burly trad routes here. Strong climb!!

Another helpful tip - the piece you place at 5:22 mark runs the spine of the carabiner over the edge - if you can't sink that piece deeper than choke up on the piece by clipping up into the thumbloop bc taking a whip on the spine of a biner is not good stuff. Ppl will freak about clipping the thumb loop but its up to the leader on how to protect the climb.

I appreciate that! Good catch.

I remember the first time we tried this with Clark and couldn’t even get 12ft. Awesome to see the progression Grahm keep it up!

That was fucking sick. Love to see the totem rack. Just finished up a single of totems.

Totems are the best! I had to put a second mortgage on my house for them. But so worth it!

@@grahmtheoverstoker God they are so expensive. But if you think about it you’re buying a standard cam and an offset in one.

@@grahmtheoverstoker 40 years ago pushing 5-10+ on hexes, scary! Is that the mountain that's full of snakes?
@grahmtheoverstoker2 жыл бұрын
That’s awesome! That snake video is from crab eyes, yes! But I’ve only ever seen one out there.

I was watching this wondering where in the Refuge it was and if I had done it. Then I looked it up. LOL Good job.

Crab Eyes is such a treasure. I'd put it up right there for consideration alongside that arch on that other state's license plate... hey, that's an idea! Why not Crab Eyes on the "Oklahoma is OK" plate? Never mind, then all the kooks will show up.
@grahmtheoverstoker2 жыл бұрын
Haha! I agree. It’s one of the coolest things around!

Graham, I see your at Wichita Mntns quite a bit, and buddy and myself are coming to climb this weekend. Do you recommend an area that has more 5.7 to 5.10's? Also areas with the best views?
@grahmtheoverstoker2 жыл бұрын
Yes I climb there as much as possible! The weather doesn’t look great this weekend, but I have a lot of suggestions. Are you looking to clip bolts or place gear? For bolts, I’d recommend Echo Dome, for trad or mixed, the world opens up: lower mount Scott, zoo wall, crab eyes, lost dome, and forty foot hole all fit your description. Almost every crag has great views down there! Have fun!

Dude you made the boulder problem look like it’s not even there! Also, sorry x100 lmao
