Can you list all the parts numbers and where you sourced them please. Great video

So well done! I'm getting an immediate squeal from cold start that goes away quickly. My alternator is only a few years old. Not sure about the power steering pump. Is it possible to just change the tensioner or do you have to remove other things beside the timing belt covers to access it?
@LandCruiserDIY2 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Unfortunately you do have to remove the PS pump and alternator to access the belt tensioner. However, I don’t believe they need to be fully removed - you should be able to loosen them and move out of the way enough to get the tensioner out. Having a couple bungees would be useful to hang the PS pump & alternator while replacing the tensioner (I remember seeing this in a forum post a while back). Hope that helps - good luck with the project!

What PS pump did you use. I pit an edelmann elite on mine but not giving me the results I wanted. Thinking OE toyota may be needed
@LandCruiserDIY7 ай бұрын
I used an oem pump - check on partsouq.com for pricing before buying domestic. It’s not too heavy of a part so shipping shouldn’t be terrible.

Really great video! Super informative. I think you may have gotten a torque spec wrong for the power steering pump. The FSM for a 2004 says. "INSTALL PS PUMP Install the PS pump with the 3 bolts. Torque: 62 N·m (632 kgf·cm, 46 ft·lbf)" Great video though thank you!

Thanks for the kind words and the call out on the torque spec! It’s great when folks care enough to make corrections. I doubled checked the 2006 fsm and confirmed, 13 ft lbs is correct for the ‘06.

Where did you get those clips ? And what are they called ? Part number ?
@LandCruiserDIY Жыл бұрын
Check out partsouq.com and you’ll be able find them easily - also their shipping is generally very fast. For things such as clips they’ll be your best bet 👍

Anybody know where I can find the little plastic cap that pops over the positive wire on the alternator? Or something to use instead?
