I watched you other video about inner track rod ends as Mot said they needed doing cut the boot off and had steering fluid in there iv already rebuilt the engine after timeing belt snapped so head off new seals new valves after that the turbo went so replaced that but no matter what i do i just can't seem to get on top of the problems new brakes disks and pads now a leak in the steering rack but on a good note when i checked the rack its still tight and the res was still full to the mark so its not a real bad leak. Also when driving and letting off the accelerator im getting a fluttering noise i did think maybe a hose leak will get the lower engine mount changed and while there let her run and look for a leak its just headache after headache. Im lucky i enjoy getting my hands dirty but starting to think its time to call it a day lol

Hi I totally understand you as I have done a lot of work on my van too and there is always something new that breaks. These vans are poorly built and will never be as good as VW, mercedes etc. They are cheap and that is the only reason people buy them. 🤑

great video, i changed the same hose yesterday, but i was wondering which of all the hoses you put in the drink bottle when you change the oil in the system? :)
@TheKeenMechanic
@TheKeenMechanic Жыл бұрын
Hi, connect the low pressure rubber hose that returns oil to your "drink" bottle. Basically you want to flush it out of the system and not into the drink bottle

For the pipe you can use cupper pipe which is use for air-conditioning, its very easy to bend and can withstand up to 600psi.

Hi can you tell me how you can get to the 6mm Allen key bolt. I can see it through the chassis but the anti roll bar blocks me getting my hand up there. There is a plate underneath but the anti roll bar is bolted to this. All other bolts out. Any clues or help.would be much appreciated. Have read other comments but did the other people have any luck?

Hi I used different extensions and flexible joints to get to it with a small 1/4" ratchet. Hope it works out for you. If you can't access due to not having the necessary tools try to gain access by removing other parts that are in the way

Hi No need to take the subframe off, I managed to do it with a small 1/4" ratchet and a hex socket. You may need some swivel extensions. Best of luck

Hi mate I've had a leak on the hose and after watching your video I'm currently in the process of doing it, all bolts have been removed apart from the Allen key bolt to the rack I can't get to it at all did you remove the metal base plate underneath the van for better access ?

On mine I didn't have to remove metal base so I take it someone before me had already removed it. Mine is a 2006, not sure if the newer ones have additional covers. Awkward job but if you can lift the van it is not too bad. Best of luck🔧🔩

A blow torch on the 17m bolt would’ve loosen it. A few wiggle left a right would make it free. Done dozen of these and not had problems. How on earth did u applied soo much pressure when u clearly can see the pipe is rusted itself. One way another it’s going to break.
@TheKeenMechanic

@@raatguzari5207 It doesn't show properly on the video but someone had tried to removed it before and bent it. It was so corroded it snapped like a breadstick.
