Make sure you divide by 100 to get the actual watts. So if they advertise as 600W wind turbine, it's actually 6W

I bought one of these. It has only 2 insurmountable problems. The blades stink and the alternator stinks. It has some pretty stainless steel nuts and bolts though.

I'm curious - have you try to measure RPM and check power at higher wind speeds as 7-12 m/s? (I was trying very roughly estimate power of this turbine, but with area ~0.3m² I suppose we can't expect more than ~35W range at 10 m/s).

Leider ist es scheinbar in Mode gekommen bei Leistungsangaben falsche Angaben zu machen. Bei ca 8 Watt real statt 600 Watt ist das ein lupenreiner Betrug. Das habe ich leider mit einer Solarzelle erfahren müssen, denn statt 100 Watt lieferte das Teil gerade mal 40 Watt im Sommer und bei korrekter Ausrichtung und normalen Temperaturbereich.

Hello and sorry for the late reply....no I don't recommend this type of turbine....consider that to buy a good product with around 500 watts of power you need over €1500, I'm talking to you about horizontal air type turbines -x or silentwind.....then there are also the cheaper but valid ista breeze!

I was unfortunate enough to spend money on one of these wind turbines, the one thing I can't understand is how they are able to get an immediate output to DC. Will this turbine become waste or would you know a possible retrofit to bump the power a slightest bit? 10 Watts would already be plenty

Hi Bart and tank you for the compliments. They get the DC output with small diode bridges inside the rotor, you can see them in the video where I disassembled the turbine. It's not worth making changes, basically the generator and the rotor are poorly designed and reach low rpm for these types of generators.

@@bartlammens8560 Hi Bart, this is the only vertical turbine I've tried so far and as you've seen the result is disastrous.....I'm looking for a valid product to try but it's not easy, most of them have a high cost and they do not produce anything due to the low rotation speed. I stupidly bought of these😢 its a lawn ornament, I also bench tested and got .1 amp at 24v. 2.4 watts. My 2 chinese Hawts make 100-150 watts in a stiff breeze and cost $150 australian. The Vevor one is also rubbish.

@@asmir3368 many turbines have three wire AC output, the three wires from the turbine connect to the 3 green wires of the controller, the other 2 red wires of the controller to the + of the battery and black to the - of the battery. This type of turbine (did you see the power in the video?) Has a motor with a 2-wire DC current output, it can also be connected to a simple solar panel regulator.

Je viens den acheter une vevor 5 pales sa fonctionne mais avec un vent de 60kmh a fond sauf que sa regule entre 8v et 14v5 donc impossible de sortir un ampere je suis dégouté test avec perceuse a fond il sort 8 ampere en 14v5 donc il faut un vent regulier a 1300 rpm et je suis dans le sud Méditerranée en bord de mer ya un vent de ouf ici vila amazone vent aucune bonne eolienne sauf a partir de 1000 euros 😢

You need a resistor to measure power, the low power showed by meter is the power absorbed of the meter itself!! Use a 50W 10 ohm ( banally a 12v car headlamp) resistitor and retry test

The mounted generator generates maximum 15 watts at a rotational speed that the rotor will never reach....this type of rotor does not reach high rpm.

Nope... after days of charging, well it has a charge but... still far from being fully charged. This sucks. Is the 400 watt version better then the 600 watt version? For sure this 600 watt version is a piece of junk.
