Power Tour 2019 in My '75 Nova | Breakdowns + 800 Mile Road Trip!

I take on the 2019 Hot Rod Power tour, a travelling car show with over 5,000 cars over 7 days and a few states. I've been preparing my 1975 Chevrolet Nova (with the 262ci V8) for the weeks leading up to the Power Tour, and it holds up pretty well other than getting a clogged fuel filter 100 miles into the trip. I went to days one through three; Charlotte, North Carolina (ZMax Dragway), Martinsville, Virginia (Martinsville Speedway), and Bristol, Tennessee (Bristol Speedway). It was a ton of fun, and I can't wait for Power Tour 2020!

Back in the mid to late 90's... I had a 77 Buick Skylark, 2 door, hatchback, bucket seats... and I slid a '65 283 in her. Had a dual bolt 350 trans and it was one bad ass ride. It got wrecked so I gutted it and relocated engine trans into a 76 Olds Omega. Both looked like this car here. Love these cars!!!!

Dude that's great you got to meet the Roadkill guys!! So Freaking Jealous Looks like you had a good time your Nova fit right in with the rest of the cool cars on the Tour. You did good in getting it ready. I think your fuel tank or lines had a lot of trash in it that's why your fuel filter kept getting clogged. But It'll be Fine you made it and seems like you had a great time.

SUCH a satisfying video man... My grandma had a 75 nova, tudor, just like that except it was silver. SOOO many fond memories of that thing going back to being 3 and shoving pretzel sticks in the ignition BC i wanted to drive so bad lol. Another one of those cars i said i would get as an adult but money and rising prices have knocked them outta reach. Anyway, was super stoked that was the car you chose as its always been a fave! I've been wanting to do this for a very long time....i have just aquired an 81 C3 Vette. Really mechanically sound. Im gonna spend this fall and winter making it my own. Man I love that car! It's so very similar to our 1976/77 Holden LX Torana hatch here in Australia and I'm guessing that it was styled off the Nova, both being GM. I had one (Torana) when I was a young bloke, my first car, a 1976 hatch back in 1988, and I was the the king of the street back then! A clean one will fetch upwards of $100k Aussie dollar these days, super ridiculous but super collectable. I'd hazard to guess that the 75 nova isn't so desirable over there but one would sure stand out from the crowd over here!! Keep up the great vids man, love'm!!! 👌🏻

My dad has a 1959 chevy fleetside matte black with a 383 stroker 💪 all original suspension and frame..it also has the moon wheel covers he's had the 59 since he was a kid and i rode in it when i was only 4 years old when he literally had buckets for seats but not now lol i am now 32 it would be awesome to take it to power tour and for me and my dad to meet u

Ike, You sholud look into doing a vortec 4200 straight 6 swap for this beast. 297hp dead stock, and cheap as nuts. They take a turbo real well too.

My father had a 75 Nova in this body style. It was 6cyl auto. Two by 55 air conditioning. Reddish orange in color. With a tan vinyl interior. Then in 83 mom convinced him to trade it in on a cavalier. What a mistake that was.
