It’s happening and you can be part of it-the HOT ROD Power Tour West officially returns in 2024, exploring new roads and locations over five days. Mark your calendars and submit your vacation time as HOT ROD will be cruising October 7 - 11 from Southern California through the desert and finishing in Arizona. Registration opens in July with several levels of packages and daily activities as we get out and cruise through the western United States.
Our tour will kick off where it began as NHRA once again left the keys to the gates for the famed In-N-Out Burger Pomona Drag Strip. We will be serving drag racing as the day’s special activity, giving participants a rare opportunity to make laps on the world-famous track. The tour moves south on Tuesday, to San Diego, where we will take over Pechanga Arena. We have a strong feeling that hump day on tour will be better than any day at work and the group will move north to Riverside County Fairgrounds (Indio, California). The fourth day is a beach day, but the sandy shoreline is in Lake Havasu, Arizona at Lake Havasu State Park. The final leg of the trip takes us to the Radford Racing School in Chandler, Arizona. We will also be hosting an autocross at this venue.

Day 4: Thursday, October 10 - Lake Havasu State Park, Lake Havasu, Ariz. Gates Open 11AM
Day 5: Friday, October 11 - Radford Racing School, Chandler, Ariz. (feat. autocross) Gates Open 11AM

Things we learned today: 1) Mr Lucky's miracle rubber remover! Even used to re- attach rubber to spent tire(s). 2) Build, thrash, break, repeat. P. S Lucky- I try to keep a spare ( or two) of everything " big" ticket; rears, blocks, etc. I don't like to be down for long or at the mercy of deliveries. ... But I don't have a FLEET, either. Just sayin'

Thanks for the Video..."Discretion is the better part of valor" You made a very wise decision. I know first hand what can happen when a "Rear Wheel Bearing" decides to fail... I got lucky and it only cost me $500 and a trailer rental...it could have been much worse. So you'll make the next one...👍👍👍👍

Dude! Just convince HRG that you and Alex need to do a rear axle repair / setup episode.And... You got farther than I did. I was trying to get to SnapDragon stadium (formally QUALCOMM) but my mustang started to run rough the day before the event; and I have been chasing mis-fires on all 8 cylinders of my 3 valve since then. Maybe a new tee for you -- Livin the Lucky life!

I had the brake light sender in one of those Ford single pot master cylinders short out thankfully while I was stopped at a light. The pedal just started coming up then it popped and I was able to get the parking brake on before I hit the car in front of me. Glad it shorted while I was stoped not stoping.

Here in Australia I use Prepsol (wax grease remover) for burnout rubber on paint. And the real full on burnout guys use what we call here clear contact…it’s a really thin sticky clear plastic That you’d wrap your text books in in high school.

Stuff happens. But it can all be fixed. Can you imagine seeing that Impala in your rearview mirror.? If you had to go to a Hot Wheels signing. Does that mean they are gonna make Hot Wheels from one of your cars/truck.? I hope it's the one of your wagons. Back when I was a kid we would pass by the Hot Wheels HQ. on the way to see my Great Aunt and Uncle that lived in Paso Robles. I miss them a lot .They where such a hoot to be around.
