Dogs at Texarkana Animal Shelter

I volunteered every day after work at the City of Texarkana Arkansas (U.S.A.) City Animal Shelter seven days a week and love animals but the city animal shelter in Texarkana Arkansas (U.S.A.) no doubt was corrupt with their Board of Directors and the money they were given; paid staff often received their pay checks late and when they arrived the 'Treasurer' often conveniently forgot to sign them, so they had to be sent back to his office making the employees wait even several more days for their pay to arrive. There was even a husband-wife team that would 'adopt' for free the more unusual pets like a parrot, pure-bred dog etc. only to take them home to resell them for cash. A new Director was hired, because the former one was retiring, who began to transform the shelter to a better place for both animals and people, but the Board didn't want to do what was right, so she rightfully quit and was replaced by a man that put the shelter right back to its old ways not caring at all about the animals or staff but his paycheck
