He left out the assembly process to the boat! The most important aspect of this project!

I built this exact platform, but had to substitute construction grade foam and Bondo products. Didn't have epoxy-grade paints so I used RustOleum. I found some cork-board at Office Depot and used black RTV from Discount. Then I sealed it all with some Spar Varnish which is UV protected. I'm at about $48 before buying some brackets and screws, so I can afford Stainless.

What's the point of painting 2 or 3 layers of expensive Perfection plus the primer paint if you are going to cover it up???

How much did this weigh compared to the teak platform?

If Wix were to make swim platforms, they would look like that......

One question. Is there a material or resin that could have been used to cover the existing teak wood platform? If there is why not just do that?

Thank you! I was looking up "High Density Cruiser Board"(what I was certain he was saying), and kept coming up with longboards or High Density Urethane Board.

You used composites, really should have rolled on gel coat instead of paint. Especially while the fiberglass was still tacky!

Put the fiberglass down my God if anybody wants a good tip, don't let this guy work on your boat. Lighter glass would have made your project turn out a lot better. When using the bubble roller the trick is minimal pressure and keep it moving fast the quicker the better but once again very little pressure.

I could do better with duct tape and some popsicle sticks... could have just sanded and epoxied the teak. Couple days work equals years of beauty

Yes everybody, replace your natural teak with a tone of unnecessary chemicals and glued wood dust, it's very easy you only need time and a bit of money then you have an awful platform to be ashamed of. Btw, could you please post the list of the products in the order you used them? I can't remember more than 3-5 layers of stuff!
