If people are interested in a good windshield for the Tiger 660 consider the Puig. I had not tried another because KS Studios didn't like them. The Puig seems different than the others reviewed. One great thing is there is a metal reinforcement for the cowl of the bike. This strengthens the screen and the height adjustment. The height adjustment works just like the stock screen. The Puig is wider from just above the bottom. It looks better to me than the original. But the proof is in the riding and I've tried it out only for a day on freeway and back road twisties. I'm impressed. This windscreen works better than I expected it to! At the lowest position it does a good job. For me when I raise it, it's even better. Lots of dead air on the upper body and especially good in taking air pressure off my helmet. Very little buffeting. Mainly only when I'm behind another car on the freeway. It was fairly windy today but I have to say, it worked great. So we'll it encourages me to go faster because I don't have all that wind pounding my face. Just one day of riding but at least for me this windscreen corrects the one flaw that the bike had - insufficient wind protection. I'm 5'10" with a 32 inch inseam.

Thank you for the honest review, as usual. Very helpful to those of us ready to throw down some cash (or probably not now) to fix one of the weak areas on our Triumph. The Tiger 660 is a great all around bike, but does have some small issues- especially the windscreen at highway speeds. Hopefully more of the aftermarket catches up soon.

I went back to the stock screen after this video. It may not be the best for all situations but at least its sturdy and stays where I put it.

Another possible fix is spacing the screen out from the bike by 10-15mm to allow more air into the low pressure pocket behind the screen.

Dang it, so disappointing. I guess I'll keep the stock screen mine and wait for something else. I really, really appreciate you testing these screens, it's saving me time, money and frustration.

Thanks for all these videos! I just bought a Sport 660. Was considering an NC750X DCT, and it just came down to a better deal on the Sport (good price and factory incentive panniers included). Maybe the Honda next time. Thanks again.

Thanks. Very helpful. I’m going to give the stock windshield a go for awhile. Mainly keeping it in the down position, but occasionally using it higher when on highways. I was thinking of the MRA Vario windshield, as I had one on a BMW F900XR and it worked well on that. Cheers, (UK)

Hi, I really appreciate you trying these different screens and sharing your thoughts with us, so thanks for that KSStudios. I really like this bike....I've had mine about 9 months now...and knew before I bought it that the windscreen was not highly rated. There was so much else to like about this bike that I decided to buy it anyway...I was kind of assuming that there would be much better aftermarket screens available soon enough, but this seems not to have happened yet? I've had some good trips on it, including one from where I live in the UK, to see my friend in Holland, and then on to Germany. All very good, but I would like to find a more effective screen, if possible. Long preamble...sorry for that...here are my points :- Firstly I'm 5' 7"...that is 5" lower than you, so this screen might work better for me than for you? Tantalisingly at 7:48 minutes you say that this screen works 'a lot better than the stock screen'...but you don't tell us WHY, or in what way it works better! Your main gripe seems to be that this Powerbronze screen has the annoying habit of lowering itself due to extra weight. I'm a bit of an engineer, as are a lot of us old codger bikers out here, so flatter myself that I could knock something up, or adapt something to keep the screen up, and maybe brace it against the wind force if necessary. IF it is actually a more effective screen, as you seem to be saying, then it might be worth the effort of messing around with? Could you please tell us a bit more about how effective the screen is at deflecting wind, and in what way you think it does this better than the stock one - apart from the self-lowering problem of course? Thanks very much, and keep up the good work.

Hello, Just inquiring as to how you have you Quad Lock mounted? I like your set up. Thanks for the great content! I have the same bike.

Thanks for all these great windscreen reviews. After reading your Powerbronze reviews, I ordered the Puig touring windscreen. I'm your height and the Puig screen is shorter than the Powerbronze touring screen, so I'm still getting buffeting with the Puig. So, I tried the clip-on extender, and the buffeting disappeared but the screen now won't stay up. Did you ever find a way to keep the heavier screens up? Also, I just watched your older videos of your Honda NC750, and am wondering if you still have that bike or if you traded it for the Tiger 660. I've had a 2022 Tiger 660 for over a year now and am considering trading it for the NC750 because of the very short gearing of the Tiger and the buffeting issue. Any feedback about which of the bikes you prefer would be appreciated.

The Tiger Sport windshield mounting mechanism is very weak and does not seem able to support larger screens. None of the Powerbronze ones really worked for me. I never got a fix for the screen falling down and ended up reinstalling the stock screen in the end. If something can be fabricated to insert into the windshield track to prevent it from sliding down, I think that would work. The Honda NC750 I had was traded for the Tiger Sport. I really liked the Honda a lot. I did experience windshield issues with that bike too though. I do believe that it's easier to fix on that bike since it has a rigid mounted screen as opposed to the sliding one on the Tiger.

Hi Michael, I’m 6’ tall as well and am considering the Puig screen. Would you recommend it? Sounds like probably not. Thanks!
@motorcycleman9 Жыл бұрын
I gave up on the Puig windscreen and am trying to sell it. It just wouldn't stay up, given the weak mounting mechanism on the 660. I tried to insert a locking nut into the track to prevent the screen from sliding down, but couldn't find anything that would fit and be stable. I went back to the OEM screen with an attached wing on top, which was just okay. The problem with the 660 is that the screen is mounted way too low relative to the seat height, so a very tall windschield is necessary. That problem, plus the engine heat, the stiff suspension, and low gearing, the lack of a center stand option made the decision easy--I sold the bike last week and bought a Tiger 850. A Givi touring screen on the 850 is perfect. I would also consider the NC750X since a Givi screen will work on that bike as well.

Hi...me again...sorry to be bugging you, but can I see if I've got this right :- First you tested the Powerbronze 610 mm screen, and found it not really as effective as the OEM, but it stayed up ok. Then you tested the Powerbronze 690 mm touring screen which worked a lot better than OEM, but would keep slipping down, especially over rough roads, due to its weight. Neither of these screens has a pressure relieving vent in the screen, which might also act to deflect air up inside the screen and help cut down turbulence. I couldn't see any vent on the PB website. I have just been looking at the Puig website and see that their screen for the Tiger Sport 660 is (coincidentally I guess) 660 mm high. They say that this is 110 mm/4.33 inches higher than the OEM btw. So it might be a bit more effective than the PB 610, but with a bit less weight than the PB 690...maybe? Also the Puig screen has one of those pressure relieving and upward deflecting vents, like the OEM...which most reviewers say isn't completely useless. I'm thinking that maybe I should try the Puig screen, as I'm hoping it would be more effective than the PB 610, but less likely to be slipping down due to (hopefully) being a bit lighter then the PB 690. Also it has that vent halfway up the screen, which might help reduce turbulence. I realise this is all theory but, hell, you've got to start somewhere when you're trying to decide which way jump.

Hello. because there is no airflow in the middle of the windshield does it vibrate more than normal?
@KSSTUDIOS2 жыл бұрын
I didn't find the screen vibrating more than usual. Even the stock screen will flex the entire dashboard if a visor extension is installed on it. The extra height will make it move more in the wind even with the air hole in the screen.
