Well, you recommend to change the way transitions work from 'Overlay' to 'Cross'. But doing so another problem comes up: The first frames of the second clip are frozen. So your proposal doesn't make sense with Clips showing movement of something, of men or animals. In that case in my view it is better to put the second clip on another track of the Timeline, let it overlap with the first clip and then put a transition like a fade-in at the beginning of the clip in track 2. Sorry for my bad English, but I tried my best... I hope you understand what I wanted to say. Nevertheless your Channel is great - I have already learned a lot from you!👍👍
@PDU_Tutorials3 жыл бұрын
Makes sense. Thanks for sharing. That issue never bothered me so I'm fine using cross. Everyone is different.
@capncap19 ай бұрын
@@PDU_Tutorials I'm with @MKProduktonSinzig. Half the transitions are ok with CROSS, but the other half look bad with CROSS because of the frozen end/beginning of the 2 tracks it's transitioning between. I definitely want to use OVERLAP but because I create offroad videos with drone footage overlayed on other camera angles. It takes me a long time to get the different tracks lined up properly so it's important that when I add an OVERLAP transition before these aligned tracks, that it keeps all tracks in sync. Oddly enough, this works some of the time but not always, and grouping the tracks together, which seems like an obvious solution, actually doesn't work - it still only shifts the transitioned track left and not the other track that it grouped with. This seems like an oversight by the developers. I'm using PD 365, so the latest version as of April 2024. Hoping they can solve this.

Dear Maestro, Watched this video and learned so much. Do you have a video taking the user through the order of channels and which channels to use in which order for which types of content? For example, I learned in one of your videos to place title slides on a track below the video track you want them to appear vs. on the same track as the video itself. This type of 'best practice' is very much needed for new apprentices. Thank you again for your skills.

Great video! Do you have any videos of moving/scrolling your screen while recording like you just did in this tutorial? I always wonder how content creators were able to do that.
@PDU_Tutorials3 жыл бұрын
The moving of the screen happens after the recording during editing. You can use the PIP Designer and keyframes to move the screen, zoom, in, etc. kzbin.info/www/bejne/pIKlnaSmodCropo

@@PDU_Tutorials thank you for the great information. I'll start utilizing this in my future videos. However, you were able to zoom in and out, draw arrows, and circles while you were explaining the video. Is it the same concept? Also, I see people scrolling up and down on a website reading articles in their videos. Is there any association with editing when involves scrolling websites?
@PDU_Tutorials3 жыл бұрын
@@boldandunderstanding9935 You can use the tutorial creation pack to add the arrows and other call outs. This is also done while editing. Scrolling a website is done while screen recording.

Hi Maliek, how you doing mate? Could I ask you a question? When I'm doing subtitles I have to keep returning to the beginning or before the subtitle starts to make sure the timing is OK. What I found is, sometimes I move the timeline bar at the top which speeds up or slows down the video messing up the subtitles. Is there any way of fixing the timeline that I don't actually change it by accident? The video I'm doing, along with many more, is 90mins long. If I to keep to watching the whole thing over and over again to make sure the timeline stays correct, I would be here forever. Do you have any tips for me please?
