The biggest question I have is if the drone lands on water and rolls from a wave or wind or what have you, the floats will keep it up but it will it survive being upside down in the water I would like get this for my work which involves a times water rescue Thanks for what you do!

A very good question, I have emailed PowerVision to see if I can get some clarification. Also, I noticed rubber around the sticks so I wonder if the remote has some water-resistant capabilities as well, It makes sense if you need to fly in wet weather.

How is the AI Camera mode controlled and image viewed? I realize that the answer is through the phone via the app, but I'm wondering how tedious it may be to hold the camera and the phone. It would be nice to have a phone/tablet mount on the camera handle to facilitate this.

If you have the camera mounted on a tripod it’s quite convenient to use the app to control it. If hand holding the camera you have to start and stop recording from the app, it’s not too difficult I just keep my phone in my pocket while recording. In my review I’m going to show how you can add a smart phone mount to the set up. The only thing I wish they would have done differently is add the ability to start and stop recording right from the drone, perhaps a small button

Yes, using the tripod mount and a phone mount should work. I will try and demonstrate this in my full review which should be ready early next week.

I would steer away from the power egg ex. I did a review on it and wasn’t very impressed by it. Especially for the price.

Could you put this drone on a tripod and watch the feed from a distance to include move the camera around?

Yes you have full control of the camera with the app running including a virtual joystick to move the camera around. Or you can tap the screen on a subject and have the camera automatically follow the subject when mounted on a tripod

I've come to the conclusion that the waterproof housing is not for flying in the rain. I tried that and it's just ridiculous dealing with water drops falling into your shot. That housing must exist for when you are taking off and landing in water with the floats attached. Think of it more as a splash guard. Can it be submerged? Nope, I wouldn't.

Waterproof motors? I see no covers on the tops of the motors.

The motors are fully open but apparently that is not an issue. They are insulated so not affected by moisture

Not sure about that waterproof housing. 1 its not optical glass or plastic so very poor light transmission. 2 there would be no airflow especially for the camera which would effect performance. 3 that thing would fog up like crazy especially in the rain or cold environments.

They are insulated and designed to get wet. Moisture will not affect them. I’ve already done a test flight in the rain and it worked beautifully
