HEADS UP TO EVERYONE. I ordered the f15rz model a week ago and what they sent me didn't match the picture on their website. The rear rack was NOT part of the frame it was an aftermarket rack and kinda flimsy. Also the bike was marked F15z with a clear sticker. They offered a partial refund of $100 but didn't seem to concerned about the difference. The reason I'm writing this is because I got the feeling they did this on purpose to get rid of old stock frames sending out old models and doing the old switcheroo. Just putting this out there in case they are doing it to other people.

@@electrifiedreviews yeah I actually ordered 2 bikes the f15rz and the f95. Still waiting on the f95 as it shipped by freight. I ended up negotiating $150 refund but it definitely left me with the feeling that they know they are shipping out old stock frames that have been upgraded because what I received doesn't match any models or pics on the site. Just putting it out there in case the same happens to anyone else.

Thanks for the video! I have one of the last F-15RS models w/750w motor and 17ah battery and it's got plenty of power and range for me. They only sell the model spec you have now, I think. Those sport fenders are more for show than keeping water/mud off you and the bike, especially the bike :). I bought a set of Kenda Kraze semi slick tires from RAD to replace the knobbies and they work much better on the street, if that's where you'll mainly ride. I just zip tied that dangling USB plug up closer to the handlebars. There's also a button under the throttle that on my bike at least, lets you choose from throttle only or PAS + throttle. This works great when you're coming to an intersection and you're trying to slow down and you want to shift to a lower gear, so you can turn PAS off so it doesn't turn the motor on when you pedal to downshift. All-in-all, a decent bike for the money. Only problem I've had with it is I had to layer an old tube over the rim strip on the rear wheel 'cause I kept getting flats. Problem solved.
@ricknoe9423 жыл бұрын
PS: I have never had to remove my seat to take the battery off - maybe I have longer legs and have the seat up higher, but I'm using the seat and post that came with the bike. BTW, the seat doesn't look like much, but it's one of the most comfortable bike seats I've ever had. This is the 1st bike I've bought that replacing the seat wasn't one of the 1st things on my list to swap out.

Nice review, thanks. I’m a heavier guy (270 lbs) and I want to ride some trails. Nothing really ambitious,, mostly fire roads. Do you think it would be suitable? Would I break the frame? I am thinking that the bigger motor would help and that the suspension would save strain on the the frame.

Brent - Another Dope Video - I'm hoping to receive a reply from you here on KZbin. Any advice regarding "which one would be best" of the following four bikes. Heybike Ranger, Explore, Tesgo STT - 1000W or the F15-RS A few caveats, I live in the flatlands of Florida in a rural "Old Florida" Pine Forest. Primary use will be dirt trails, some mild MTB trails as well as pavement. I'm an aggressive bike rider, weighing 170 lbs, 5'10". Higher top speed, reliability, customer service, warranty, and range are important to me. Lack of a USB port, ability to fold and greater weight of bike are not "deal breakers" .. Any recommendations, comments from someone like you with your knowledge / experience would be greatly appreciated. Thank You and God Bless.
@electrifiedreviews2 жыл бұрын
hey thanks, Captain Jack! i might be too late on the reply here, but if you're going to be using it mostly on flats, you may want to go with a 500 watt or even smaller motor just to get that extra energy efficiency out of it. The F-15RS is a sweet ride, but it might be over powered for your needs. Have you considered something with a 36 volt system and/or a 350 watt motor?

The seat does not need to come "all the way out" to remove the battery. Loosen quick release and turn the seat is enough to remove the battery. Top speed on my F-15RS is ~25+ MPH (not just 20 mph). Notice when he runs through the display it will show his top speed is 32 mph. BTW, I am 6'1" 270 lbs and the bike's 1000w power handles me effortlessly. The pedal assist isn't worth the time to use. The power over-assists to the point that one cannot feel any resistance to pedaling. When accelerating or when giving it throttle, the full power kicks on instantly. There is no gradual power increase. To avoid the sudden thrust of power, I always get the bike moving by pedaling first before I throttle power.
