Our church began in Sydney in 2001 after a group of saved Bible believing baptists came together and desired to have a church that truly believed and taught the King James 1611 Bible is the word of God. They grew weary and tired of being in churches that just used the KJV and claimed they believed it only to have the pastors and teachers claim later that it had errors and contradictions.
The group then sought out a pastor and meeting place. In a short time God provided both! The group contacted and visited Pastor John Wheat in Queanbeyan NSW who believed the Bible and had started a Bible believing Baptist church there. After this group of believers shared their heart and vision God called Pastor John Wheat to Sydney to help establish the church there. Pastor Wheat turned the church in Queanbeyan over to a young man he had trained in the ministry and moved to Sydney to found Open Bible Baptist Church.

On the way to a drug deal in 1983 I prayed , in hopes I wouldn't get caught, I prayed while pumping gas, had my fingers crossed, told God I would live for him if I didn't get caught buying a pound of pot. I was lying as best I could, I just didn't want to go to jail. Never smoked another a joint in my life, 3 days later I turned to God. 40 years later I'm a preacher. that man who lied has been gone for 40 years. I'm thankful to God for that

Dr. Ruckman’s “Are you Saved” sermon is a rock for me. I really enjoy this sermon as it gives some insight into his background. I was in a car accident today with a semi trailer and 🍀 luckily escaped unscathed. I do love Brother Ruckman’s preaching, but I found it really odd that he throws shade at the charismatic movement early in the video, but then continues to talk about more occasions where he heard “God say…” more than most charismatics I’ve met have heard from God in their whole life….

There are some that say that Acts 2:38 was only for the Jews: that is a damnable lie. in the 10th chapter of Acts Peter interacts with the Gentiles and we read this in Act 10:44 While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word. Act 10:45 And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost. Act 10:46 For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter, Act 10:47 Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we? Act 10:48 And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.

@@Jonathan-iq7lc It is apparent that the Jews that came with Peter would not have let Peter baptize them unless God showed them that the Gentiles were acceptable in the sight of God. Peter withstood them and asked them who was going to forbid water that they should be baptized. Are you now going to forbid water that people should not be baptized. The Apostle of Jesus Christ Commanded them and you to be baptized. You need to search out this people from among the world who submit themselves to the Word of God, but are hidden from the world at large and follow the instruction of the Apostles. The prophet came to Paul and said this in Act 22:16 And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.

It's an amazement to me that a man with such knowledge of the scriptures never came to the knowledge of the plan of salvation written in Acts 2:38. The plan of salvation is not to shake the preachers hand and profess Christ, it is to repent of ones sins and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, for the remission of sins, and praying until God fills us with the Holy Ghost speaking in a heavenly language. We must die with Christ by repentance, be buried with Him by water baptism, and receiving of the Holy Ghost as one that is risen with Christ. See Romans the 6th chapter.

If it truly was amazing to you, maybe consider that he might be right and you might be mistaken? If your plan of salvation blatantly discounts statements in scripture that describe how to be “saved” in no uncertain terms, then you should seriously consider the possibility that you are incorrect. If you do not believe that “if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved”, then are you a Bible believing Christian? Because that’s what Romans 10:9 says to do to be saved.

@@Laugical I was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins according to Acts 2:38 and after fasting for 4 days, as I knelt at the alter God said to me "get up and have these two men pray for you I am going to give you the Holy Ghost. I confessed Him with my mouth by speaking in a heavenly language as the Spirit of Christ filled me with the holy Ghost. the plan of salvation that you are talking about has no witness in scripture where people confessed him with their mouth saying "I receive Jesus as my personal savior." In the book of Acts the confessed Christ with their mouth speaking in a heavenly language. Who ever your teacher is has deceived you.

2 Timothy 2:15. Keep studying Brother, you must rightly divide scripture. Acts is one of the transitional books and as you read through Acts "Salvation" is from the Faith&Works of the Old Testament to the New Testament by faith through grace. Act 2 has no Christian in it. Pentecost is a Jewish
