Even the Kalashnikov rifle is based on a German model from ww2 (what Kalashnikov himself admitted).

1:04 I can just imagine an enemy column coming out of that canyon and driving right into that platoon of Abrams in dug-in defensive positions and just getting shredded in the ensuing massed volley of 120mm cannon fire. When I was on vacation in Germany in an area with American military presence, I saw a white M1 once. Well, it wasn't entirely white, they used gray and black highlights to make it less uniform. Pretty sure that wasn't standard camo, tho. The paintjob looked really bad, almost as if they had used wall paint to do it.
